Tofu tacos are actually amazing when they're seasoned right 😱 I've been tacoing about instilling more vegetarian/vegan meals into my diet since they make me feel a lot better internally. 😌 I still love meat though LOL 😅

Two things struck me over the last 18 months... 1) I was a runner in high school, and NEVER saw my weight much above 135 until I was pregnant. Even after kids, I'd gotten to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly and was happy with where I was at for most of my adult life. 2) About 18 months ago, I tried on a pair of my fave jeans and couldn't button them and realized something was very, very wrong. I'd never seen 156 on the scale NOT being pregnant. It's been a long road, but I'm super happy that I've taken it....And, I've had some amazing help along the way! @amandapanndaaa @chrisford_ifbbpro @body_fat_test #mombod#41derful#firstbikinicompetition#hangry#girlswholift#allthecarbs#imreadyformycloseup
Okay people this is gonna be a good one to read about. This dish is from Fig and Olive in NYC, another gold suggestion from my soon to be sister I'm law (we ran out of another place to go here lolz). What you got in front of you is the Primavera Risotto which contains asparagus, green pea, Parmesan, and pea shoot. I know what those of you who know me well are thinking: "allie this sounds like nothing you like" and you would be right friends. That's why I'm writing about it, this dish made me enjoy vegetables. So basically when I got it and saw it was completely green I was kinda like "naw I'm out," but since I was out with a good crowd, I put my game face on and went into battle. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this dish. Though I'm not a fan of peas, it wasn't overflowing with pea flavor. Once you mixed everything together it was fantastic. I've gotta say that I think the hero of this dish mY the Parmesan cheese and the texture of the risotto that balanced the entire dish out. It was just enough saltiness, cheesiness, and risottoyness that each bite was awesome. If you're a fan of risotto, you'll like this dish. I'll give this dish 9/10 for taste and great portion size.
One last thing: we went during restaurant week which had great prices. For $42 I got an appetizer, and entree, and a dessert that were all delicious and appropriately sized for the amount of food we ate. Highly recommend, would love to got back and try more. ✌🏻❤️🍽
I could never be a foodie on Instagram. Most meals I get so hungry, we go from Defcon 5 to Defcon 1 as soon as I hear the "Amen" for prayer. 😳🙈🙊 .
So here's an "after" shot of my delicious lunch that involved the finest cheese from Velveeta and the vivacious piece of protein from the finest cow that ever lived. 💁🏽 Bon appétit! 👩🏽🍳
