So, we'll call this "Our Monday Winter Stew." It's very hearty, very garlicky, very flavorful, and very vegan. We definitely have happy bellies tonight. 💛
Here's what we did in a nutshell:
1 medium red onion
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 carrots, sliced
1 tbsp raw cashew butter
4 potatoes, cubed
1 celery rib, sliced
1 cup of fresh spinach, chopped
1 quart of Unsweetened Almondmilk Soup Base (found at Walmart)
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 pinches cayenne
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 box (gluten-free) rotini pasta, cooked to box instructions
•••First, saute onions in butter until fragrant and slightly translucent. Add minced garlic, cook until fragrant. Add celery and carrots, cook until slightly tender. Add soup base, heat to slight boil. Add cashew butter, potatoes, spinach, spices, and then reduce to simmer for 20 min. Be sure to cook pasta simultaneously and add to soup once simmer is complete. Spoon into your favorite bowl and enjoy!

I’m back!! Thank you to all those who stuck around in my silence last week! God was asking me to be still in a way that I haven’t before. Previously my times of quiet in this space have been unplanned and due to insecurity or comparison. 🤦🏻♀️ Other times, I would take a break from watching what other people were doing on here and just continue doing my thing. This time God needed ME to be quiet so He could workout my purpose here and all the while I’ve been cheering on my friends on here for the good work they are doing in their spaces! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still. [Exodus 14:14]
“Be still, and know that I am God…” [Psalm 46:10]
And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. [Mark 4:39] ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. [Psalm 62:5]
Is there an area in your life where you need to BE STILL? Share below if you feel comfortable! Or just say “Hi!” ☺️I’ve missed this little community! 💗
Weddings are a very special "once in a lifetime" occasion. My favorite part of the wedding is the smiles - the shy smile of the bride when she gets married to the love of her life, the happy smile on the face of the groom when he sets his eyes for the first time on the most beautiful girl in the world and the joyous smile on the faces of the family members. These moments are timeless and give us a glimpse of the true love and beauty that surrounds us in our lives.
The idea behind launching the Modern Indian Couture Line of 335TH is to add a touch of glamour to these moments in the unique style of each individual. Thus, the two key elements that define our design philosophy are: Modern sophistication and Individual styling.
The First one
I got a call in October 2017 from one of our amazing customers from Kolkata. Her daughter was getting married in the end of November and she wanted her wardrobe and her daughter's Mehndi outfit to be done in true 335TH style. I was slightly nervous but also very excited. It was the first one - the one that I will always cherish in my heart. Knowing the bride's fun loving and vivacious personality, I decided to work with the color mango yellow for the jacket style blouse while contrasting it with a soft coral pink pleated lehenga in silk and organza drape chunni. For the mother's outfit, I chose to contrast a teal green long embroidered kurta paired with a pink skirt in silk. For the work mentioned above we used the in-house developed embroidery technique of appliqué with soft silk tissue in copper and zari thread. It was then enhanced by traditional Zardozi in copper and sequin embellishment. Here are some of the photos that show the smiles that make all our efforts worthwhile.
