Last night, we slept on the outskirts of Northampton, where we have a retailer, and then to Boston, which is only one hour away. In short I must tell you about the D.Hotel, because I have never slept so well in my life ! Usually we take less expensive hotels and .... :-( , but there, out of season, and with the secret internet discount, we would have been stupid to do without it. A superb hotel, everything is beautiful, and the breakfast had lots of a choice like potatoes, fruit, bagels, peanut butter, oatmeals, nuts and dried fruit, coffee and tea. No vegan option for cream or milk for coffee, but anyway, I always bring my vegan coffee cream and my Vromage when I'm on the road ! ;-)
In short, it's worth it sometimes to go on an adventure not too well prepared, without really knowing where we will sleep and choose a hotel on the road, close to our destination ! ;-) Northampton is a very beautiful small artistic town and there is a lively center where pedestrians are kings and where drivers are really courteous. There are festivals, and we do not feel pressured. Personally, I would live here ! :-)

Tonight we tried the Champs Dinner restaurant in Brooklyn. If you remember, I released their video on Facebook on January 13th. It's a classic American dinner, but vegan! Comfort food and suitable for every appetites and not only for vegans, because there is not an omni who could see the difference ! ;-)
I opted for mozza cheese sticks with tomato sauce and the Habibi bowl, an Indian bowl, with rice, cucumbers, cauliflower, roasted chickpeas and small orange peppers. François had the Country-Fried Seitan sandwich with salad and fries. As a dessert "to go" (we were filled!) we took a red velvet cupcake and a cheesecake and yes, everything is vegan ! The atmosphere is great, the service nice and frankly, it was delicious ! :-)
