SCRATCH PATTERN!!!! Here we are addressing the biggest issue in sand and finish, we are currently shooting and editing a series of videos with the one and only Scott Avery from the @thesandhaus all about scratch pattern and the SCIENCE involved with sanding. Please shoot us any specific topics you would like to see covered....grit sequence, machine setup, paper, water popping, anything you might be having trouble with or want to just chat about. #hardwoodfloorsanding#hardwoodfloorrefinishing#sandingscience#scratchpattern#coloradotradesmen#hardwoodfloors

Edging is a brutal part of refinishing floors. Bent over for hour after hour really does a number on the lower back.
This was one of my first responsibility when I started in the trade. We often give this job to the greenhorns to find out if they have what it takes. Some guys last a day, others a week and few actually stick around to graduate to the BM.
So recently I took back on the role of edging. I was noticing guys digging in the corners, leaving those dreaded edger marks and abusing these expensive machines.
I'm not as young as I used to be and over the years suffered some lower back injuries. This caused me to have pain while edging. I wasn't willing to let our floors suffer because of it so I bought the edger dolly. Took me about a half hour to get used to it, and guess what! No back pain! I wish I would have bought it sooner. 😁😃😄 #makingedginggreatagain#painfree#edgerdolly#nomorelowerbackpain#backsaver#wortheverypenny#hardwoodfloorrefinishing#americanmade#smallbusiness
"I always use intense seal especially over my stains. No other product creates a better tone that really makes the stain pop. I love this sealer." Red Oak 1 common, water popped and stained with Special Walnut. Sealed with IntenseSeal, and then finished with two coats of Mega Satin. Craftsmanship at its best by @smithflooringco! 👌🏼#floorfriday
