A smoked cinnamon & charred grapefruit Negroni to end the day. .

Gin, Campari, Sweet Vermouth. .
Char cinnamon stick and place cup over it to catch the smoke, let sit. Char 1/2 grapefruit and squeeze into shaker with other parts, stir.
Pour over ice. Smoky, bitter, sweet... perfection.
Wow!! It was 10 days ago since my last post here 😅 Last week has been a full on week for me. Took my brother out, did some shopping and more last minute shopping before he went back. Btw, was in Victoria this morning but they suggested I leave and head over to Port Lavaca for the rest of the day. There was a bitter gentleman at the Center in Victoria this morning who told someone there he was angry and wanted to shoot up the place "Vegas style". Some of the contractors left and I figured it was a good time for an early lunch. They have a guard at all of these places, but I think 2 might be a good idea at that location. 🔫
Mathri also known as nimki is a traditional North Indian style cracker generally prepared and feasted upon during festivals like Diwali and Karwa Chauth.
You can make them using any flour and make different flavoured versions by substituting water with beetroot juice or spinach puree.
It is a perfect tea time snack and has a good shelf life.
Tip for making crispy cracker is to add hot oil/ghee in the dough. Try and thank me later!

Confusione in galleria, come nell'anima del resto! No no tranquille è tutto ok! Sono solo in conflitto con il tempo, con l'inverno che arriva alle sette di mattina, e l'estate inoltrata all'ora di pranzo,la primavera pomeridiana, e l'autunno di sera; sono in conflitto con l'armadio, con i colori, e persino con i sapori.
E poi c'è la galleria.... che passa da sfondi chiari a quelli scuri, e poi di nuovo e cercare il bianco, come a sentirne il bisogno!
E lo amo follemente quel bianco, il bianco con un tocco di colore, che sia fiore o frutto colorato,quel bianco candido che a tratti rilassa; ma gli sfondi scuri mi sanno di mistero, di magia, un pezzo di legno usurato e vissuto, sembra quasi voglia raccontare una storia....come quella di un piatto di pasta con speck, noci e crema al mascarpone ...... perché dietro ogni ricetta c'è sempre qualcosa da raccontare!
