My daily breakfast the last month or so has been banana / mango / spinach / flaxseed smoothies and I'm obsessed. With either orange juice or coconut water, but it's even tastier and a better colour with spirulina if you have it (I've run out here). #ditchdairy#eatplants 🌱🍌
The first meal I made since returning home from Thailand ☺️ Unfortunately I’ve had a bit of an upset stomach for the last 4 days, so ate nothing but rice and bananas 🙄 Was so happy to eat something more enticing, but still not feeling 100%. Feel free to hit me with your go-to tips for beating a cranky belly! 😝✌🏼
"Consuming celery is the most powerful way to alkalize the gut. That's in part because celery (which is technically an herb, not a vegetable) is high in bioactive sodium." "To press the reset button on your body, juice celery by itself. For the full effect, drink a full 16 ounces of fresh celery juice daily -- and make sure it's on an empty stomach to raise hydrochloric acid levels most efficiently. For dramatic results, drink two 16-ounces glasses of fresh celery juice a day." Life-Changing Foods by @medicalmedium.
Hello everyone!! 👋🏼Recently my family went out for brunch at @wheelersyard to try out their food. It was awesome to see they had some vegetarian dishes available! 🙏🏻 I got their veggie rice bowl, sweet potatoes and toasted almond milk, and my sis actually ordered their soy braised mushroom pasta. They all tasted so good!! The rice bowl had a good balance of sweet and saltiness, and they used Japanese rice!! (It’s one of my favourite types of rice!) I absolutely loved their roasted almond milk. I’m actually planning to make my own almond milk soon to try it out. Hopefully it can taste as good as this 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Maybe I overdid it with the cilantro but I swear this cheese sauce gets better every time I make it 😛
Nachos: homemade tortilla chips, spinach, black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapeños, chipotle salsa and the cheese sauce (🥔🥕 +nooch, spices and almond milk)
Buenas noches 💛
Isn’t it so satisfying when your smoothie bowl ends up stacking on top of each other 😍🤤 We made it to Friday guys! I’m so looking forward to enjoying the weekend! I’m volunteering at a Down syndrome walk tomorrow and I can’t wait! 👭 giving back to the community always leaves me in a happy mindset. Even little things such as holding the door for someone or picking up someone’s trash can really make their day! I encourage you all to do something kind, even if it’s saying hello it can go a long way💗🔮 I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your day! You are all super awesome!!
✨behold! A raw vegan chocolate cream pie, whose special ingredient is love 💕
For the first 6 years I was vegan, I mainly kept to myself, always brought my own food to non-vegan parties and events, and rarely tried to share. Lately I’ve been trying to share with anyone interested, and I made this to serve for dessert at a dinner party last night. It’s so nice to share the love with others✨
Feeling lucky that ASPARAGUS is in abundance and cheap (+ organic as always) at my local organic market 💚 The fountain of youth, ready to protect and cleanse my organs, feed my cells with life force and alkalise, while building me up with abundant B-vitamins and critical minerals like silica, iron, zinc, molybdenum, chromium, phosphorus, magnesium and selenium 🙌🏼✨ @medicalmedium you make my healing journey the best 🙏🏻
Oatmeal with flax seeds, chia seeds, raisins, cinnamon, a chopped apple, a chopped banana, and a huge spoonful of @eatnuttzo (a blend of 7 different nuts and seeds) which I just tried for the first time today and I 10/10 recommend 👌🏽🌱
As a whole food plantbased eater, I enjoy many more foods other than salads(of course)...but why would I want to??? This one has everything. I hope everybody is having a wonderful Friday!💚 #saladasthemaindish
My version of the "Buddha bowl" is something I affectionately call "Mt. Potato." Basically, I make a huge mountain of mashed potatoes, top with an equally huge pile of steamed veggies, with or without gravy, and attempt to scale it.
This was THE BEST meal ever. Organic housemade spelt bun, sweet potato falafel patty, house made vegan oil free tatziki sauce, almond feta (which tastes so real... I need to try making it) and finally baked root fries on the side. Now, to be fair, this was not the healthiest meal ever... but I'm trying to just eat food that is satisfying and delicious, that is also as close to high carb low fat vegan as possible. When I get home to Vancouver and have a proper kitchen I'll def skip the salt, overt fats, and bread. 🍃🌱#wslf#vegan#HCLF#hclfvegan#starchsolution#rootfries#veganburger#plantbased#burger#carbsarenottheenemy
I got a beautiful case of Hachiya persimmons this morning! This kicks off another raw vegan fruitarian streak. I love my Buddha bowls but last night I met an ICU nurse that is doing a grape cleanse, and so I asked her if she knew of the Naturopath Dr. Robert Morse who advocates a raw food diet. She was so enthused about Dr. Morse and it was so amazing to meet someone in person, not just on social media, who finds these things so interesting and exciting. I do find the raw food lifestyle inconvenient in some ways because you elimimate very affordable whole plant foods like potatoes, rice and bulgar, but I have really felt such amazing benefits on fully raw so I have decided to do it again. 🍍🍌🍋🍊🍉🍈🍇🍎🍏🍐🍑🍒🍓🥝🥑
