I dropped into the kitchen @eastdulwichchef to check on my Ferments yesterday and saw the team preparing a salt cure for these beautiful salmon fillets. It looked amazing and I bet it will taste even better. I reckon a little bit of the Purple One, our red cabbage, beetroot, caraway Kraut would go amazingly well with this.

This big guy has been named Beefy. Beefy weighs approx 6.5 tonne and spends 20 hours of each day eating and the other 4 sleeping. Daily he eats 350kg worth of plants and then shits 155kg back out. That's one serious plant-based diet!!

Unfortunately I have woken up with the full fibro flu this morning - that EBV/strep throat that makes it difficult to swallow and the migraine that renders any light too bright. First big one since starting @medicalmedium protocol 18 months ago.
.  I missed the dawn safari as a result and have not come armed with the usual supplements I'd use to kick it. So I'm improvising with lots of lemon water with raw honey, wormwood (I bought for malaria prevention) and gargling oregano oil. Any other suggestions most welcome :)

2 carrots 💛
1 onion 💛
1 bunch celery head 💛
6L water 💛
Seasoning e.g. pepper, ginger, coriander 💛
1. Put the bones into a large stock pot and fill the pot with enough water to cover the bones. Bring to a parboil, then discard the liquid. 💛
2. Add all the other ingredients into the pot. Bring to a vigorous boil, then simmer on low heat for 8 hours. During the first 30 minutes, skim away any scum (there was hardly any in this batch). 💛
For a more nutrient-dense broth, simmer for even longer, like 24-48 hours, to draw out #gelatin & #collagen from the bones. Next time, I’ll use a slow cooker 💛

Rawctober Day 18: Comfort Me With Apples. 🍎✨ I remember reading this book by Ruth Reichel years ago, and it has always been one of my favorite book titles. I adore the book, too. It came back to me tonight. After some intense parenting challenges today, and getting the kids to sleep, I immediately started thinking about the gluten-free & vegan chocolate chip cookie dough here in my parent’s fridge... or my dad’s straight-up bourbon. I chose to stick to my raw fruit and vegetable healing month. Because Nick and I made a pact. And because I have to go through this myself so I can best help other people do it. Because, as @medicalmedium said in one of his lovely healing meditations, I work for the light.  I work for God. I can get recentered and grounded again when I connect with that.  But comfort. This humble servant needed a comforting wind-down snack after an especially intense parenting day. Earlier today I picked up a big bag of fresh organic honeycrisp apples. As I stayed up with my parents tonight discussing parent/grandparent strategies for tomorrow, we dipped them in raw honey, snacked on a few grapes and raisins, and refueled. 🍎 What people say about fruits and vegetables having a higher energy vibration feels true to me, more so the further I get into just consuming raw produce. I can feel my whole body, my whole being, more easily grounding and connecting to energy. I feel the cells in my body vibrating more than usual. I suppose that sounds strange. But I feel energy. I see auras a little. I’m not sure exactly how things will unfold as I work to be of service to people and their healing. But I’m connecting to energy on a cellular level more each day, and eating fruits and vegetables and honey... it’s like someone turned up the electrical current.  #rawcomfortfood #recharge

Baby spinach & rocket leaves, roasted pumpkin cubes, diced cucumber, beetroot, avocado and mushroom, a tiny tin of tuna, with a generous drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Plus a super hydrating glass of coconut water.
So simple, quick & easy, and so tasty.

You all have blown me away by all the amazing responses to my post yesterday. I am truly truly sitting here in tears of gratitude and being touched in my soul by the incredible words of support, kindness, love and compassion. 
I think our community is here, beginning to come together. I was surprised to read how many of you left FaceBook and came back just to be a part of the Medical Medium​ community. This alone, is mind blowing. 
We are standing in truth. This is my WHY. This is why I show up. 
I recently was working with a coach for myself, and we were talking about devotion. And it became clear to me that I have a sacred devotion to the TRUTH, and to sharing what comes from a higher source that is compassionate and a path of healing. 
I am deeply devoted to this work. Devotion means I show up even when I do not feel 100% and it would be easier to just lay in bed and sleep! But the devotion to the TRUTH gets me out of bed each morning to serve and share and to help and to support. It means that I am calling someone back with a severe emergency late at night, or super early in the morning. It means showing up even when someone hangs up on me. Or if someone calls me a scam. Or to help that person who is having a complete crisis in faith. 
It does not matter what. I am devoted to sharing the TRUTH. I am devoted to YOUR healing. I am devoted to helping you believe that you CAN. And you WILL. 
I am devoted to you in a private session, a group program, or here on FB and IG. 
I am honored to stand with ALL of you. You are amazing humans. Thank you ALL for being the light that the world much needs.

I've been wanting watermelon again for weeks!
There is something key to it and I know @medicalmedium says in his book, Life -Changing Foods, that melons are "intravenous nutrient therapy". My intuition has been focused on watermelon specifically. 
This one I got at whole foods, I had to talk to the produce guy who said that even though they don't sell any on the floor this time.of year, I can ask and they keep a few in back to cut up for the grab and go overpriced fruit. 
But this is good so I am not without a source in the dead of winter when my immune system really goes down hill. 
This will probably be eaten in 2-3 days.  Maybe quicker. Once I start eating it I am compelled to keep going  and I never feel bad no matter how much I eat, which is a true rarity, so I know it's a 'Grail' food for me.

Greens, eggs and ham.....see what I did there?

Yesterday’s brekkie was a bit of a food tolerance experiment.  I desperately want to be able to eat eggs again so I try them every 3-6 months or so.  My body let me know that eggs are still out for now and that’s okay. 
When my food allergies/sensitivities leave me feeling deprived, I focus on all the delicious and nutrient dense foods that I can eat.  And when that doesn’t work, I dream up ways of making what I want to eat with ingredients that are safe for me to eat.

EDITED!! I’m convinced this is my punishment for making fun of BB Raven! 😩Well, I got some very surprising news today. This was just a preventative test my surgeon requires. So to say I was shocked, when the GI dr told me I have gastroparesis, would be an understatement. In all honesty I’m still trying to wrap my brain around this. I’ve had stomach issues (constipation) for a few years but I assumed it was just another part of the Sjogren’s. 💔💔#gastroparesis #gp
