Want to know my secret for making the BEST, most juiciest chicken ever? 🍗Okay, I’m being dramatic, but seriously it was so good! 🍗Cook the chicken just before it reaches 165 degrees🌡 (so around 162-163 take it out! Check this with a meat thermometer.) Then let it sit for a few minutes to continue cooking in the center before plating it with the rest of the meal. Voila!

Plant-based Caesar Salad 🍃it may not look the prettiest despite my best styling attempts, but this was so delicious. Fresh cos, toms, green olives and toasted sourdough coated liberally in olive oil and crushed garlic. The dressing was a blend of soaked cashews with olive oil, apple cider, onion powder, dulse and karengo, mustard and a few other things. Will deff be posting on the blog at some point as it was quick, satisfying and YUM. The sourdough was for my man - sadly not something I can eat as it aggravates autoimmune symptoms. Loving summer salads 😉

The Christmas ‘Fuck it’ Mode, Are You Letting It Win? ☃️ 1 Week till Christmas, delicious foods and drinks are in abundance. You’re diet? You’re sat there thinking well that will just have to take a back burner till January wont it? How could you possibly enjoy yourself over Christmas while having to restrict and diet?
Theres definitely a good few of you out there right now, letting ‘Fuck it mode’ creep in. You’ve most likely had a couple of days where you’ve not eaten great, or you have already gone all out; having a huge binge over the weekend. Christmas is around the corner and you’ve already failed, so why start now? a fresh start in January you tell yourself. Just like you did last year.
This is where many of us go wrong, we tell ourselves Christmas is just one day. We make ourselves feel better with the promise that we will make it all up in January and our motivation will suddenly appear and finally we will have that body we want, but the truth is it will be just as hard then as it is now. If you are unhappy with your body now, imagine come January when you have an extra 2-14lbs to shed? How would it feel to be even further let down with yourself, seeing a bigger barrier than before? Rubbish right? Well lets try prevent that.
The main thing you could work on to prevent this is making small subtle changes each day. Things that make you feel better and proud of yourself. Its about creating a damage barrier, not putting yourself in a situation that makes you feel like you’ve failed and in turn allowing you to encourage letting loose. You’ll feel more in control and on your way to leading a healthier lifestyle, building positive habits that stay with you, rather than just struggling though a restrictive short term diet.
As we’ve said before a huge barrier is mindset, here at Results for life we recognise that and begin working on that with you initially, before setting out your nutrition plan. Success for whipping up these bad boys this weekend, that also happen to LOVE MY GUT! (i.e. Free of allergens common in many recipes…Recipe Below).
This time of year it’s EASY to eat foods that don’t always agree with your gut…
But did you know that many of us eat even “healthy foods” regularly that may not agree with our guts too, IF we have an underlying gut imbalance…
Many people cut out gluten, thinking it’s the “healthy thing” to do, or “go paleo” or “go keto”…but, they STILL feel bloated, constipated, gassy, or get skin breakouts and allergies regularly…WHY?!
The thing the gluten-free, paleo, keto, etc. industries don’t tell you? Food intolerances go BEYOND just gluten (or carbs).
Nuts, eggs, corn, coffee, chocolate, soy, dairy, cassava flour, stevia, rice, shellfish, peanuts, and FODMAPS (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, apples, avocados, coconut) are SOME of the TOP “sensitivity” foods many people are “intolerant” to when they realize the whole “gluten thing” didn’t “seem to work.”
Even crazier? Sometimes we CRAVE foods we are intolerant to (even if we don’t feel great) because these foods feed unhealthy gut bacteria that love them.
So what to do about it?!
Eat with an ABUNDANCE mindset! Seriously, eat what your body can tolerate, but for today, BE MINDFUL…TUNE IN…and ask yourself at meal time—How do I feel?
GUT LOVE PROJECT: For one meal…Slow down…take 1-2 minutes to breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth…Sit down…Turn off TVs and computers…Focus on the delicious meal before you…Chew well…and be mindful…
Gingersnap Cookie 🍪 Recipe (with chocolate chips added!)
2/3 arrowroot flour + 1/4 cup coconut flour
2 tsp gelatin + 1 tsp baking soda + 1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup ghee + 1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract+ 1 tsp. cinnamon + 1/8 tsp. ground cloves + 1.5 tsp
grated fresh ginger
optional 1/2 cup Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips
Directions: Preheat oven 350 degrees. Combine ALL ingredients well. Spoon into 1 inch balls. Bake 8-10 minutes.

I love the school holidays....lots of cooking and me time! Started my day right with some yummy eggs, bacon, tomatoes (cooked in coconut oil) and a slice of 45cal crustless wholemeal toast. I've also ditched the margerine and swapped it for Kerrygold butter because it is soooo delicious and butter is fine in moderation! I feel like I’ve spent so much time chasing my recovery and the life I want but haven’t been able to have for so many years. But now I’ve finally stopped the chasing and resolved to accepting it for what it is with everything happily falling into place 🎄💖 I try and take one day at a time and not think too much about the future because you have no idea what the future holds and once you truly accept things for the way they are you see everything in a different light 🙏🏼✨ Chasing recovery and being impatient I’ve found only slows my progress because I over do things and make myself more sick. So listening to my body and going with the flow is helping me get better faster woooohooo 🎉🎊 Think I finally might be starting to figure a few things out!

Yesterday was one of the most amazing days ever😍It started off with another weightlifting session with Ray at @team_cavanagh, that man is a magician. Thanks to his amazing coaching I managed a new snatch PB of 37kg! 37kg, where did that come from?! I couldn't believe it. More about our session over on the blog💕
This book is all about ‘habits’. It’s called, “Better than before” by Gretchen Rubin and it’s already taught me a lot on how to master the habits of my everyday life.
Habits are... “a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously”. We all live with so many, good and bad ones, mindless and mindful ones too. When it comes to looking after our wellbeing comes choosing and deciding what we do for ourselves; what we put in our bodies for nourishment, how we move to be active, what we do to create a sense of sanity and control our mental stresses. It all comes down to how we treat our bodies through a choice of actions based on our habits.
Just by simply realizing your ‘bad habits’ can point you in a complete different direction, toward a better path building a healthier and happier self. If you’re someone who is stuck on where to start with your health and well-being journey, or any journey of creating some sort of change, I push you to list down all your good and bad habits to visually see what it is that could be stopping you, and help make you realize what it is that may not be working.

Magic Mud - This is apparently for hands but I keep it in the shower and use it as a fantastic natural face scrub and all over my body as a really great way to wake up the lymphatic and fascia systems first thing in the morning, activating my bodies systems and aiding cell renewal.
The real side of fitness...it’s not all sexy poses in front of a mirror or headstands on the beach. Sometimes it’s traveling, losing pretty much all of your muscle tone and fitness, eating too much Christmas cake at work, lying on the bed procrastinating for 2 hours after you get home from work and then dripping with sweat, nearly vomiting and realising you’re only on week 4 of Kayla 💪🏼

Some of you wanted to know a bit more about this ancient metaphysical art ...so I wanted to share how I use crystals in my everyday routine.
Firstly I always sleep with a Himalayan salt lamp next to me as it helps iodise the air, purifying it and detoxing the space. It also sends the room a warm pink hue!
🕉 USES: For anyone with anxiety or depression I recommend Lepidolite -made of lithium it is literally like a big old crystal Xanax 😂❣️Sometimes I stick calming amethysts on my husbands head when he’s hungover...it helps! A rule of thumb is to see which crystal you are drawn to and connect to that. I always felt a pull towards Azurite Malachite - An extremely powerful metaphysical stone, Malachite is called the "stone of transformation" and is used for deep energy cleaning. Really good at releasing trauma - so I place it on my stomach where I had a painful and traumatic surgery a few years ago. Malachite has a very centering energy about it, great for helping one find their place in the universe.When Azurite is combined with Malachite, the combination is particularly effective with healing bone and muscle injuries. The weirdest thing is a broke my hip about two years ago and I still struggle with pain and loss of motion.This kind of stone will need more cleansing as it is so powerful. 🕉 CLEANSING:You can bury some crystals under the ground in the earth if you have access to a garden. Salt water is a great cleanser - although do check if your crystal can be washed in salt. Some should be left in salt water for up to a week. You can meditate on them and set intentions.
