#Day2 of the #greatnesschallenge --> my biggest obstacle and challenge is to remind myself daily that I am enough, I know enough and that the world needs that unique special something I have.
I always think that maybe I should study more, learn more, do more in order to be appreciated and validated... but then at the end of the day I know that I am and kind enough. I just have to apply, share and use this knowledge.

Every single morning or evening I practice Ashtanga or Vinyasa yoga with plenty of inversion practice to relieve any stress or anxiety 👆
More than 90% of people come to yoga for flexibility, stress relief, health & physical fitness. But, for most people, their primary reason for doing yoga will change. Two-thirds of yoga students and 85% of yoga teachers have a change of heart regarding why they do yoga — most often changing to spirituality or self-actualisation, a sense of fulfilling their potential. Yoga offers self-reflection, the practice of kindness and self-compassion & continued growth and self-awareness.
Yoga reduces depression & anxiety but it also changes the brain. A study published in the Frontiers in Human Neuroscience uses MRI scans of the brain to show that yoga protects the brain from the decline in gray matter brain volume as we age. People with more yoga experience had brain volumes typical for much younger people. In other words, yoga could protect your brain from shrinking as you get older!! The protection of gray matter brain volume is found mostly in the left hemisphere, the side of your brain associated with positive emotions and the relaxation response. Emotions like joy and happiness have exclusively more activity in the left hemisphere of the brain on positive emission tomography (PET) brain scans. The left hemisphere is also linked to the parasympathetic nervous system, the “rest and digest” network responsible for relaxation 💛
But the truth is that the practice of yoga is not about changing the brain, body, headstands, or even about gaining greater happiness and joy. Yoga aims toward transcendence of all those things, opens up the possibility of connecting to what we already have — to who we already are 😇✌

Different foods can have such a different taste depending on how they're cooked. Not only cooking style (fried, poached scrambled eggs) but whether they are cooked creatively, with precision and with good cooking utensils.
I always put the effort in when cooking for two reasons, I love good food and I know that eating good food makes me feel good too.
So if cooking is not your strong point or you stick to the basics - STEP UP YOUR GAME!

Morning Friends, when you wake up at 6am on a Saturday morning because you are excited about life and where you are headed, you know you are different! So my mission, as it is every morning is to get in some personal development reading. I realise that some of you may really want to change where you are headed and want freedom, but deep down you are still addicted to the security of a pay cheque. That is exactly what I'm reminded of this morning and I feel the real sincere urge to say to YOU, that battle you are waging internally is natural if you are unsure of HOW to make a change. I am so blessed to have been given a road to freedom, which is FULL of potholes, ups and downs, winding left and right LOL. It is definitely a road which is less travelled, because 97% of you decided to give up the battle and remain with the addiction to a pay cheque. If you are curious of the steps I took to change direction in my life, I'd love to chat with you no matter where you are and pass on some tips and guidance. Give yourself a chance for change! Remember you have greatness within you!

In our obsessed society we are bombarded daily with ads for miracle weight loss solutions. These come in the form of magic
pills, powders, and even creams. The people in the ads are always smiling and thin, and if they claim it works for them, it must work, right? WRONG! Don't fall for the FADS. There is no "magic" to losing weight. You have to use your brains.
Keep in mind that most diet and weight loss pills have not been evaluated by the FDA. Do you really want to put something into your system that you know nothing about? But don't take my word for it, read the labels yourself. It will say it right on the bottle.
Also, you will want to read the fine print that comes along with "miracle" weight loss drugs. They will almost definitely state that the "results are not typical" or that to work properly, they must be combined with "regular exercise and a balanced diet." Guess what folks? If you exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet, you won't need any magic pills to lose weight. ♥️💋

My life's vision includes running a financially viable business and running your own business means hard work. But that's not to say that it all has to be torture and stress. These past few weeks (and a couple more to go) I have been working hard preparing for the teaching season to come, many hours behind the computer, designing, scheduling, organising and communicating with all the wonderful people I'm collaborating with. But my office is outside in a lush garden, I've been nourishing myself with beautiful teas, infusions and healthy meals. I do yoga every day and spend quality time with friends. 🔥Great and "Meh" Protein Sources🔥
🐹Please let me preface this post by saying that the protein sources I mention below that are "meh" are NOT bad for you. I am merely saying that if you are trying to lose fat and watching your calorie intake, there are better choices than others. Now with that said....Let's get into it☺️
👹The below examples show the protein per 100 calories of the given foods. This protein to calorie ratio is what I have used to deem if a food is "great" or "meh". By all means, include any source you wish to get your daily protein in. However, if you are in a weight loss phase you may wish to choose an option that will be more favourable to your goals.
👽Last note to mention, and that is, none of these foods have magical powers that will help you melt fat. The number one rule to losing fat will always be, to remain in a calorie deficit. If you can make any of the "meh" options fit your daily intake, then don't let me, or anyone, tell you that you can't have them!
