I can remember a moment when I said I hated being called beautiful. It was something I thought was reserved for the “nice, but not attractive” girls in the classroom, and yet I was 32 years old. What classroom story was I still telling myself?
In that moment, I thought about everything I thought was beautiful, mostly images of nature came to mind. Majestic Mountains, Cool blue Oceans, a Sunrise or Sunset.
These were things that could stop anyone in their tracks and take their breath away.
Maybe being beautiful wasn’t so bad.
It’s interesting to live in a world so dominated by perception of beauty. A friend texted me the other day, “You see the pretty in everything, from Rumi to Rehab!” It’s true. Beauty is not in one size or shape or style. It’s not in the light or dark. Beauty is in the appreciation of existence and what it takes to actually be here now, to be loving in all of it.
I am grateful for things that are pretty on the outside, but when you exist fully in your range of light and dark, Raw and real, open and loving, that is beautiful.
And we’re all beautiful. Love is our very nature.

Black bean and corn veggie burger.
30 oz black beans
4 corn spears
Whole grain bread crumbs.
Place in fridge for about 30 minutes, then saute in pan. I then used whole grain bun, lettuce, tomatoe, onion, avocado, and mustard. Yum.

I would recommend working with a health coach if any of this resonates with you. You feel stressed, tired, or angry all the time. Sometimes keeping it simple is best. Sure, you want to make something special once in a while and for me that's making a recipe from a cookbook that I usually would cook myself or don't know how (my kitchen skills are limited 🙈😂) but most of the times my meals are quite simple. Meat or fish with some vegetables and a source of healthy fat...

These (beautiful) multi-colored carrots are dinner’s side dish tonight! Simply using avocado oil, sea salt and rosemary and roasting for 30 minutes at 400. Also having pan-seared tuna and a mixed green salad with avocado and fennel. And it will all be done in about 30 minutes! #eattherainbow#realfood#dinner

#foodprep doesnt just have to be for you, you probably prep for kids and pets and dont even realise. To #prepfood for kids and/or pets is a lot easier than yourself! Here is 2 months worth of @buddy_dayz #breakfasts prepped and ready to go. Mark feeds him a couple #frozenchickennecks every morning.
Its so easy for us to know when we need to prep more for him. Its not that difficult and easy to do. This took me a over a half hour this morning! Thats a half hour every 2 months for his food prep. Its easy to find the time.
For me... I want to prep some delcious breakfasts for our early mornings. To through some veg and eggs in a cupcake tin which goes into the oven takes me about 10 minutes. Then set an alarm.
I think 10 minutes and maybe 5 more at the end to put some in the freezer and some in the fridge. Not hard.
We should hive ourselves the time we give to all our family members. ~♡~

Sitting by the St.Lawrence seaway, in thought, the sun reflecting on the water. One of these moments when life is at its most challenging. Feeling overwhelmed by grief, by loss, by heartbreak, by uncertainty, by all that I have to do, to achieve, by what lies ahead. Feeling vulnerable, raw and afraid. Knowing that these feelings and emotions are temporary and allowing myself to acknowledge them and feel them through. It is simply part of life, this long life that goes by quickly. Aware that in these quiet moments, in solitude, going deep inside myself, is where I can find peace, and the strength to go ahead.
I've been here before. It's familiar and I welcome my emotions like a good friend. I know that it is of no use to try to avoid them by forcing myself to be happy when what I need to do is to be sad, to feel fully. Allowing myself to cry and feel the pain. Because true happiness happens when I allow myself to feel the sadness. It is the human experience.
Life is full of beauty and ugliness, happiness and despair, wonderful in all its aspects, and I know that, just like the changing reflections of the sun on the water, tomorrow will offer a different perspective, a different reflection. *

When we exercise, our body produces something called Nitric Oxide [NO]. When we run, swim, lift weights and etc. The heart pumps blood faster and harder to our muscles. I didn't want to train today for my half marathon. I got off earlier than anticipated, & realized that I had time to train, even though I worked out earlier today. Immediately, excuses began to flood my mind.... • "Your pain levels are super high today" (I rarely talk about the fact that I'm in pain 24/7/365, & I do a damn good job of hiding it). • "You're tired. You already worked out earlier today. You still have time before the marathon comes around." •
But deep down, I knew I was lying to myself. Because although yes, taking care of yourself is important, especially for someone with the health issues I have, I've also allowed excuses to stop me from fully committing to marathon training. And now I only have 4 months left. There is no time left for excuses. @michellesfitnessacct & I may not care how long it takes us to cross the finish line, but I plan on getting my medal (if you don't finish within the allotted time, they don't give it to you). I'm not going to fail myself now. •
So yes, it's going to be hard. I'm out of shape. Running isn't my thing. At all. But I'm not going to give up. I will do the best I can to the best of my ability, & that's what counts. #halfmarathontraining#running#disneyprincess
