1 can (organic)chickpeas drained and rinsed
1 clove garlic
juice half a lemon
2 tablespoons tahini
salt and pepper to taste
almond milk or any milk you use.
Put everything into your blender except salt and pepper and add 2 tablespoons of almond milk and blend, keep adding more milk to get the right consistency that you like, season with salt and pepper. blend till super smooth and its done.
Serve with vege chips, healthy crackers and raw vegetables, dollop on top of your Buddha bowls and meat dishes, pizza and wraps, it's a winner!

My #motivationmonday ... not only am I going to run an official 5k this coming Sunday, but I spent the last 1.5 months training for it. I haven't gone to the gym every day. Heck, I didn't go this morning because the baby had a rough night and I was too tired for a 5am gym trip. But I went more days than not. And on the days I went, I worked hard and gave it my all. I was determined to push myself and finally finish a huge physical goal that I set for myself. And I feel good! I am still a bit apprehensive about the race, but I have now built up the confidence that I was missing when I first started my training. And I found a little extra confidence when I put on my race pullover and saw how it fit. It's a men's large (the womens was purple, I wanted blue) and it fits really well. And to think, I almost got a bigger size..."just in case". I haven't lost any weight during race training, but I am stronger. So much stronger. And I plan to continue to build my strength, even after race day.

Since it still feels like summer in NYC, I had to recreate my favorite salad from the Hamptons! 🌊👙☀️Keto Lobster Cobb Salad!! 🙌💯 Fresh steamed lobster that is chilled, bacon, tomatoes, avocado, romaine lettuce and cheddar cheese chunks! 🥑🥓🍅🧀 I drizzle the salad with a good quality olive oil and some pink Himalayan salt!! Super simple to make and the flavors are out of this world!!

Lil update: new naturopath now has me on an anti inflammatory diet instead of my old naturopath who had me on the elimination diet of vegetables. This allows me MUCH MORE variety in my diet. Vitamins and supplements are gone, other than probiotics and omegas. However, problems are still the same (which makes me question if this is even diet related🤔😪) 👉🏼New naturopath, two specialists appointments Friday, and the specialists of the specialists appointment all the way in March 😑🤷🏻♀️ praying that my body will heal itself before March 🤞🏽🙏🏼

C H I A • P O T S • it's that time of year that the chia pots are coming out. It's warm enough outside now to start your day with one of these. Also fresh berries are abundant on the shelves. So throw some into the mix 🍓great grab n go breakkie ✨
Chia seeds are also a fabulous source of plant based omega 3 (which a great anti-inflammatory and helps boost your immunity). These little seeds are also known to help joint pain, aid with weight loss (as they make you feel more full) and also help with energy levels whilst exercising.
1 medium to large ripe banana, mashed with a fork
1/4 cup chia seeds
3/4 cup almond milk
handful of berries
In a bowl of glass, mash a banana really well with a fork until its smooth
Add chia seeds and mix in well with mashed banana
Slowly add almond milk and mix well together. Depending on size of banana add a little more almond milk or a tablespoon of chia seeds to thicken.
Leave to sit in fridge for 15 minutes (to allow seeds to expand in liquid) or over night with lid/cling film on.
Scatter berries on top and serve
New restaurant popped up in our area so I had to go try it. Got a quinoa bowl for lunch with tomatoes, grilled corn, sweet potato, pickled onions, and avocado with greens on top. Perfect lunch! Finally going grocery shopping today so looking forward to home cooking for the rest of this week.

I sliced up 1 apple and microwaved in a bowl with 1T of water and cinnamon for 2-3minutes.
Served it with 1/2c of 1% cottage cheese and drizzled with WF Carmel Dip- would be great with maple syrup too 🍁

Time to play... "so, you're going out of town for a few days and you need to clean out the fridge before you go" lunch! I made a crustless pizza with seasoned ground turkey, mozzarella cheese, turkey pepperoni, and pizza red sauce. Not the most delicious meal I have thrown together, but it's helping me clean out the fridge, so I'll eat it!

I always listen to my body and when I experienced some twitching in my biceps for 2 days, I thought I needed another dose of meat! Twitches, spasms, weakness can often be signals your body needs a nutrient(s). 🌿 2 cups of Fresh Spinach and Kale
🌿 1/4 lb Organic Grass Fed 90% lean ground beef
🌿 sautéed zucchini, squash, red onion, garlic, red bell peppers, and mushrooms .. seasoned with oregano, Pink Himalayan salt, black pepper 🌿 a little oven baked sweet potato 🌿 topped with Fresh Basil
I added some spicy mustard for a kick!
Cooling off with a glass of iced java ☕️!! Need my energy for leg day 😬 I had a peek at the circuits and I'm already dreading it 😩😂. On the other hand I'm still feeling the pain from arms and abs on Sat and it is a great motivator and reminder of where I am going with this 💪🙌💪Which workout are you doing today ??
