It has been maybe.....( I was #diagnose with #type2diabeties #type2diabetic about six years ago) and it's been about 2.5 yrs since I've had my #bloodglucose is a safe range #emotional. My numbers used to run in the high #300 #400 range. So dangerous and I'll probably have some long term effect because of it. Only in the last 2.5 months have I finally taken this even more seriously, in due to the worry I may lose my health care cuz of the current #US government opposing to the #afca . Saturday I picked up my newest #medicine #victoza injections which I also take #insulin and #metformin ... and my numbers dropped... it took four days to get less than 120... I'm so #happy #livelifeyourway #happydays #type2diabeticfighter #type2 I'm doing this change for my future and to be #healthier and #lovemyselfagain #ifyoucantloveyourselfhowinthehellyougonnalovesomebodyelse

Meal Prep Monday Tips: After you look at your schedule for the week, figure out what nights you have time to grill or cook items & what nights you only have time to grab n go.  Then write out what meals you plan on having each night of the week. Of course you can switch days if you are not in mood for what you have planned that night.

1. Get rid of anything that temps you to make poor choices out of your pantry, fridge or freezer.

2. Grab n Go snacks.  Fresh fruit & vegetables portioned out.

3. Proteins cooked or cut, trimmed & marinating. 
4. Push things that don't last as long to the front of the fridge.

5. Cook grains or veggies that you will serve as sides at dinner.

6. Wash all produce.

7. Keep things organized & accessible 
8. Ask your family to help you prepping &  your prep time can be cut in half.  Kids too small to help? Get a mother's helper for an hour or get a few girlfriends together, but your food in bulk & conquer your week together.

9.MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! Have a backup meal in the freezer in case a meal doesn't make the cut. Trust me you will be grateful for this.

Today's lunch was a simple - banana, two plums and a @nakdwholefoods bar with a large bottle of water ๐Ÿ’ฆ and tea was a vegetable and chicken pasta bake minus the pasta ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ with light cheese on top - could have had a little more but that was enough for me ๐Ÿ˜‹

I did NOT want to workout today. It was so late in the morning, it was hot, I had no energy, I was super sleepy, I had been up working for 4 hours and I just wanted to go home and get ready for our family camping trip. BUT I did it anyway!

We are a product of what we do consistently!

I don't have time to exercise, I don't have the energy, I can't afford it, I need to take care of my health issues right now, (...ummmm yes that is an excuse I've heard way more than once ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”) whatever excuse that you've logically rationalized in your mind here's the truth.  Ready... You NEED exercise, it is GOOD for you. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're at, our bodies NEED exercise.

The ONLY reason I worked out today was because it was the RIGHT thing for me to do. I didn't FEEL like it, but who cares!!! If something is good for you, it will serve you to do it. Period. 
Do something good for you today.  Let me be your coach. I have a fabulous support system that will give you what you need to BE your healthiest self. 
You won't regret working on you, you just won't.

Sorry but long ass post! Just looking at the first picture of what I used to look like hurts my heart. I can't believe I let myself gain so much weight 294lb to be exact. For years I struggled with my weight, never really being happy with myself. My escape to all my stresses where filled with overeating, drinking, and smoking I would cope with things the harmful way. But after my mother passed away I took a hard look at myself and came to the decision to change for a better and healthier me. At first I did struggle no doubt about that. But I was lucky enough have support from my family and friends! Even though I was probably a major pain in the ass at times but I did it! Every time I felt like giving up I would think of my mom and how she would've been proud of me for loosing the extra weight. I didn't use no crazy drinks or pills to loose the weight I did all of this by doing yoga, exercising and eating a proper diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and protein. I gave it my 100% everyday, I was not gonna allow myself to fail. I'm proud of myself for sticking with it. Few months later I lost 115lb now weighing in at 179lb. I still have more to go until I reach my desired weight goal. I'm happy I gave myself the opportunity to take this journey and the support along the way. On this journey I learned to love myself more in order to know what is good for my body,mind, and soul.
