Motivation is so important when it comes to training and living a healthy lifestyle. I motivate and monitor myself because it’s something I know feels amazing in the end. It’s what stops me from having that second cheat meal, it’s what gets me through a whole week without regrets, it’s what makes me feel better than that delicious piece of 🍰 ,🍕 or an extra block of 🍫
All these things I loved to eat so much and still love the thought of but I had to either give them up or monitor my intake i.e. two blocks of 70% lintd instead of half a slab, as calorie counting, played a great deal in my weight loss.
I am still on a mission, and some people tell me I must ‘chill’ or ‘just eat it, you will work it off tomorrow’ but the problem with chilling is that one day turns to two and so the pattern goes on until you let a whole week go to waste. So I even monitor my chill or rest time. The thing is I love to eat healthily, I love to train and very seldom do I enjoy knowing that I have not brought up my heart rate or made my muscles work for the day thus very seldom allowing me to ‘just chill’. Long story short, I love how far I have come, my knowledge on food and training, and I love where I am going because I feel awfully amazing most days. Deadlifts!!!👍 These have to be the best of the compound lifts – they seem to work every part of the body from the quads, hamstring and glutes to the back, arms and upper body in general. Here I am lifting 120 kg (265 lbs) which isn’t too bad for my bodyweight (at least I don’t think so).
But as you know there are various versions of the deadlift… which is your favourite and what’s your grip position of choice? 🧐

Sometimes we just got to set a goal, plan it out, do it and stop stressing over it. And let the tinitinies progress creep up.
Didn't see any miraculous toning happening this week, maybe because its my monthly period. Been wondering why I couldn't control my appetite too! I ate a an entire plate of pie today! Which was weird because I usually don't get tempted, must be hormones. 😂 (blame game again).
But for some amazing reason, my gym was really good. I was able to lift sumo 195 lbs 2x!!! yehey!!! But unlike if am running on ketones, I felt really tired after the exercise. When am running on ketones, I can still do 5 rounds of hiit. am not joking. but I do have a hard time sleeping. Now, am sleepy so already so I guess my will be great.

Planning for our annual New Years Eve party has me really reflecting on my past year and "resolutions".
At the beginning of this year, if you would've told me "you're going to lose 40lbs this year all by yourself" I would've laughed in your face. Here I am December 14th and I'm finally happy with myself! Not having to set a "lose weight, get fit" resolution for 2018 has never felt better⏱ Instead my resolutions this year will involve things such as individual improvement in the gym and drinking more water! 💦🎉
Why wait for the New Years to improve and better yourself??? DO IT NOW! There's never going to be the perfect time to start, which gives you a reason to keep pushing it back like I did. You will absolutely love yourself for getting healthy and think "wow, that really wasn't as hard as I expected it to be"💪🏼 Besides, everyone and their grandmother will be hitting the gym come January 1st, so go ahead and get in before your lack of motivation is due to a "crowded gym" 🏋🏼♀️
