Don’t be fooled by health claims in food marketing. Some items are labeled as “healthy”. But take a closer look at the nutrition labels. ✔✔For example, cereal, many of the “Healthy” cereals have macronutrients that are not that much different than the “non-healthy” cereals. Just because something is labeled “healthy” does not mean it really is. Also, look at the amount of added sugar. Sugar in excess calories is not good. Don’t just go for the cereal because you believe it to be “healthy”❗❗ The cereals listed are for 1 serving or ¾ cups. Frosted Mini Wheats is for 21 biscuits (1.9 oz). Think about it - 8 grams of sugar is about 2 teaspoons. So 15 grams of sugar is almost 4 teaspoons. If you want 2 servings since ¾ cups is quite small, that’s 30 grams of servings or almost 8 teaspoons of sugar!🍭🍬 Read your labels! For all the strenuous activities, knocks, falls, crappy food, late nights, early mornings, stress that my body has endured over the past 35years - it still can enable me to get up and run a bloody long way one lovely, Sunday morning! I've recently embraced intermittent fasting which, for me, means 2 large meals high in protein and smothered in as many veggies as I can for in a plate.
or, in this case, two bowls plus a plate 😂
I started with half a while grain baguette, topped with Crunchy organic peanut butter and a bit of agave (which I had never tried before, so was just kind of giving it a go)
I had half for "breakfast". Then I moved onto the stirfry of green beans, cherry tomatoes, and zucchini (courgette). A bit of olive oil, this was, mainly to please my love of veg.
And also a saute of garlic, spinach, mixed sprouts, pine nuts and...samphire. Lots of protein and healthy fats!
I have never had samphire before and was an instant fan! It's a sea veg popular here in the UK, and is pleasantly salty. It's high in vitamins and minerals and has a collection of compounds that are unique to sea veggies, so it's a great addition to your eating plan for varieties sake, if nothing else.
Finally, near bursting, I finished the other half of my toast for dessert.
I ate around 930 and was crazy energized all day long. I also wasn't even slightly hungry again until about 630 pm. Twas a good day!

I gave up dieting 🙌🏻 because... - It started out as an innocent way to "lose a few pounds" and then led me to a 10+ year long ED. It does this to MANY individuals.
- I learned it was just a cop out from dealing with the real issue: my deeper struggles and actually facing them along with my emotions.
- I learned diets are only quick fixes and whatever weight you lost will come back on sooner or later--usually sooner.
- I was tired of isolating myself from social events and being a "hermit".
- I was tired of being sick and tired as well as destroying my body and chance of having kids in the future. - I was tired of losing and destroying relationships with friends and family.
- I was tired of lieing about food and exercise and always having to "make up" excuses to get out of going to social situations, hang out with people, etc. - I always ended up up bingeing, purging, restricting, over exercising, or some form of ED behavior some point from restricting my body of food/nutrition for too long 🍩🍪.
- I hated tracking calories ALL day EVERY day and looking up calories for EVERY food I ate.

SNACK TIME: right now I am eating about every three hours with a snack in between breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner. This helps my blood sugar stay steady and metabolism rolling. #motivationmonday moment ✨! As part of my #whole30 journey this month, I've had to say no to all of my favorite emotional comfort foods🙅. I used to eat sugar 🍰to help me get over a rough day, stressful interactions or feeling overwhelmed. To help beat the cravings I started taking walks 🍂to distract myself. What I found is that I don't need the cake or wine to make me feel better, all I need is to listen to myself and get quiet in nature🙏🏻. It's amazing what standing in the forest and feeling the breeze in your hair will do to relax the mind! So that's my Monday tip, when life gets tough, take a walk because it works 😁🙌🏻!

💉I had bloodwork done last week... it's truly a miracle that my cholesterol was under 250.... you see I am genetically predisposed to high cholesterol both the good and the bad but my ratio has always been OUTSTANDING and to see me is to think I'm healthy so doctors have never treated it. Well-- it's truly a miracle because my cholesterol was 201 last week! 201 PEOPLE!!!
