be a pineapple . stand tall and wear a crown 🍍
you may have heard that Queensland has a crazy amount of pineapples at the moment, so it’s the perfect time to support farmers and grab one from the market!
Pineapples are a powerhouse of health benefits, in particular, rich in the enzyme Bromelaine! Which helps us to digest food ( especially protein), it also supports the body in reducing inflammation and been found to help support sinusitis .. bromelaine is found in higher concentrations in the hard centre bit of the fruit, so fresh is best (no canned pineapple with the core removed)
So what are you waiting for?! I have a little stash of pineapple that I’ve frozen, ready for smoothies and on the go nibbles 🍍.
It’s been so cold outside and its freezing in this house. ❄️ So I’ve been snuggling under the heated blanket and procrastinating my B O O T Y workout. 🍑👀 At least I don’t have to drive anywhere to work up a sweat. I have the “Netflix” of workouts and can chose from Yoga all the way to HIIT or Tabata. It’s my own little virtual fitness studio! 🤸🏻♀️I used to spend hundreds of dollars a year to be a part of a fancy gym I went to like twice a month. I saw no results and had NO direction! 🤷🏻♀️ Now I get to be trained by my super trainers AND get a meal plan for way less! 💥 Let me know if you are ready to get results and crush your goals! My next group is starting in FEB. Now if I could only have someone carry me downstairs to hit play. 😂

When we order food from a restaurant we automatically assume that it's fresh and safe to eat. This assumption is based on belief that the kitchen of that restaurant is clean, shiny, and the food is fresh. Sorry to tell you that it might not be the case😞.
As a nutritionist and future dietitian I learn about foodservice environment and production. I don't want to scare you, but many restaurants in the country violate food safety regulations till they get caught by the food inspectors.
Can you imagine walking into the kitchen of a fancy New York hotel restaurant and find a mouse 🐀 swimming in the meat marinade?
How about finding maggots in an 🍦ice cream machine of one of the fast food chain restaurants?
Perhaps, you'll find workers of a large buffet sleeping on the kitchen floor in the dirty clothes or hundreds of roaches climbing all over the food of supposedly "healthy" restaurant.
This info comes from numerous reports from real food inspectors. All these are real documented cases that are completely disgusting 😝. Each food service facility either it's a fast food place or upscale restaurant should comply with food safety requirements.
I just want you to be aware. If you ate a meal and got sick few hours later, then most likely the restaurant doesn't follow the regulations. It could be a sanitation issue, food safety violation, or contaminated food by a sick worker.
Last year I got very sick after eating lentil soup from an Italian place. Few days later my friend's kid got same sickness from this soup. Guess what, I'm not ordering meals there anymore.
Guys, be aware that you have all the power as a consumer to receive food that is safe to eat. Your best bet to stay healthy is to eat home cooked meals.
Hiding my face like... 👀🙅🏻
My face keeps breaking out these days! A mix of too much traveling, and this dang dry weather = a recipe for disaster!
One thing I've found to be helpful... lots of moisturizer, BUT I wash my hands before to make sure they're clean! Don't touch your face unless your hands are clean... it just spreads bacteria and may trigger or cause more breakouts! #LPTipTuesday
What are your tips for breakouts?! What works for you?! DM me or comment below!
🤔What's Your Goal?🤔
I love giving out advice and helping others when it comes to exercise and nutrition. Understanding the facts about exercise and nutrition has personally given me so much that I can't wait to share what I've learned with others.
That being said, when someone approaches me for advice I usually always start with one simple question, "What's Your Goal?"
The responses are wide ranging but usually come down to two simple variations:
I want to lose weight or
I want to be healthy
If they want to lose weight, I then confirm their goal by telling them it's best to focus on losing fat mass rather than just losing weight (if you focus on losing weight you can lose muscle mass which will actually make you look worse!!!)
If they want to be healthy.......well that leads to a host of additional questions.
I ask them, "What do you consider healthy?"
After a few other questions, it almost always comes back to losing weight and exercising more.
Now I've got nothing against being a Vegan, eating Gluten Free, eating clean, or only eating Organic.
But the truth is, none of those are important if you want to lose fat mass and love the way you look.
If you want have endless confidence, more energy than you can imagine, and just straight up feel better follow the guidelines on the left and you can't lose.
Healthy wild blueberry and lemon muffins? Count me in!
So I absolutely love cooking but baking has kind have been a struggle for me. I’m the kind of girl who just throws things together and doesn’t follow a recipe, but with baking that doesn’t always work out too well. So you can imagine how nervous I was when I decided to create these little babies.
I was honestly surprised how well they turned out and how easy they were to make! I’m not going to lie, they aren’t overly sweet because I didn’t add any sweeteners besides the blueberries. But ya know what, they taste awesome! Healthy carbs and fruit in a muffin form definitely makes it easier to stick to the meal plan!
Let me know if y’all want the recipe I created!
I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity in 2012 and it was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me! I know, I know. You’re thinking: is she serious? She can’t eat bread 🙄Avoiding all things gluten definitely took some getting used to. Gluten is, unfortunately, hiding everywhere. Did someone say soy sauce? Sorry, I only eat tamari now. BUT... after being off gluten for just one week, I finally overcame my lifelong battle with eczema. If you have a sneaking suspicion that you could have a gluten sensitivity, allergy, or full-blown celiacs disease, talk to your doctor about food testing. And, ask about stool tests which are said to be more accurate than blood tests. #HealthTips#TipTuesday#glutenfree

Tips To Keep You On Your Sugar Kicking Course!
Cravings are ugly and discouraging because it feels like something is in control and it's not you.
Here's a few tips to keep you on course:
1. Remember cravings are normal especially in the early days. .
2. Studies show it takes 21-28 days to break a habit. Other
studies say it takes 66 days. It doesn't matter if you fail. Just
keep going. .
3. Each day off sugar, we're creating new cellular and hormonal habits so each day you stay on track the better.
Try distracting yourself with other alternative sweetness:
1. For a mid afternoon slump match a FIX for it. For example, blend a raw cacao smoothie with frozen berries or ice (add Stevia or Chicory if needed).
2. Have a pot of herbal tea or iced tea and nibble on seasoned, raw nuts (Pecans, walnuts, almonds etc). A small handful, slowly chewed will help drop the cravings and give you needed fuel within minutes.
3. Hydrate with fruit infused water. Have a pitcher made ahead of time
with chilled fruit and sip.
4. Experiment with some of the recipes we created and freeze portions
so you have something handy when needed.
5. Freeze a few Grapes and Cherries. They make great chilled "candy." Try it, you'll see.
6. Eat some healthy fats they kill sugar cravings.
7. Consuming a bit of Apple Cider Vinegar before you sit down to eat a meal or when you have a craving will reduce food cravings.
So plan your FIX for those inevitable moments. Without a plan you will fall, especially in the beginning.
We all know this from experience.
A disc bulge does not mean give up!
There is an old school idea that all structural injuries (bulges, tears etc) mean pain and dysfunction. Whilst some definitely do, there is no hard and fast link between injury severity and outcome.
Why? Because there is more to it!
Pain and function have so many more factors than damage (but thats another post). Here is a study that can help break that myth👉
Why is this important?
This knowledge is important because fixating on damage creates fear----- which leads to avoidance---- which leads to weakness---- which leads to pain. So whilst these things need to be considered, don't fear movement or limit what you think you can achieve. See a good Physio and/or doctor and work towards goals! *The referenced study looked at people without back pain and what their spines looked like on scan.* http://www.ajnr.org/content/36/4/811.short
Say hello to grain-free protein brownies! These brownies are great to satisfy your sweet tooth, without really indulging and throwing off your diet. Since they are made with #MillenniumBlend protein powder, they will also help to keep you full. Get the recipe by clicking the link in bio!
It's still early. The type of workout your doing is important, but not as important as the Consistency you need to build. I highly recommend seeing a trainer to get started with a structured program, but if that's not in the budget then it's important to just get into the habit of showing up.
Fill Up on Vegetables
Vegetables are filled with nutrients, water, fiber, and very few calories. If you fill half of your plate with vegetables, you'll get fuller faster and cut down your calories without feeling deprived. Use herbs and spices to jazz up vegetables instead of using butter and/or salt to flavor them.
“You know, some day you will wish you could go back to this.” My amazingly wise little bro told me this when I was telling him (ok I was probably definitely complaining) about how much I need to get done this semester. But seriously guys, I can’t be the only one who takes life too seriously right?! Incredibly thankful for all the wise and loving people in my life who help remind me what’s really important in life and that God’s right by my side through it all!
Muscle Memory is a great tasting powdered formula was created by a genius to maximize physical activity and to help muscles recover more quickly. The nutrients in Muscle Memory help the production and release of a miracle molecule called “Nitric Oxide” or NO. The more NO present in the blood the more blood gets into muscles which allows more “work” to be done and help with muscle recovery without normal stiffness and soreness.
Approximately 45 minutes before exercise and on an empty stomach, mix a serving of Muscle Memory in 8 oz of water and consume.
Some users also enjoy using Muscle Memory before bedtime to encourage muscle recovery during sleep.
As with using any Life Priority product, prior to consuming, please read the label and usage instructions carefully.
What you eat is important, but did you know that how you eat matters just as much? ☝🏼 Raise your hand if you multitask during meals (e.g eating while working or watching tv or scrolling through your phone or driving). 🖥📺📱🚘 The problem with engaging in other activities during meals & snacks is that you can’t really pay attention to what you’re eating, so you end up ignoring very important things such as the flavors in your food & your internal hunger/satiety cues. This can lead to eating too fast & too much, resulting in poor digestion & weight gain. This can also cause you to eat poor-quality foods that you don’t even like! 😝
My recommendation is to turn off distractions - when it’s time to eat, JUST EAT. 📵 Stepping away from your work, turning off the TV, or simply putting down your phone during meals is a great first step towards Mindful Eating. Be present while eating - focus on the taste & textures, & check in on your fullness levels periodically throughout the meal. Try eating mindfully this week & let me know what changes you notice! 📩 Stay tuned for more tips on how to be a Mindful Eater! 🍽🥑💚 #TipTuesday#theavolife#theavolifeRD#theavolifenutrition#mindfuleating#nutrition#healthtips#fittips

Tracy Tip Tuesday: When cooking, substitute avocado oil for canola oil. Yes, it promotes healthier skin (can all my ladies say woot woot), but it's also a super healthy fat that enhances your absorption of important nutrients. You won't even taste the difference (but your body definitely will)! Check out a super helpful guide to discover which avocado oil is best for your kitchen: Link in Bio
I became a mother at 19 years old....before I knew who I was, before I knew the direction I wanted to go in life I was a mom. For 4 years that was my only identity. I cant even say I was a (good) wife because my sole focus was on my babies. Not that there is anything wrong with being fully invested in your children obviously, but I just didn’t know anything else! I wasn’t anything else.
I know a lot of you mommas can probably relate!
I went through bouts of depression because I desperately needed to start loving myself and taking care of myself but I would feel SO selfish about it, so I just let myself go. I thought I was just supposed to take the backseat as a mom, but shit I wasn’t even in the backseat...I was being dragged by a rope attached to the backseat 😂
My kids will forever come before me BUT, now I know I absolutely have to make myself a priority too! If I hadn’t made that decision 3 years ago I would be popping happy pills right now sitting with my huge bowl of ice cream trying to make myself feel better about my life that was going nowhere. By deciding I mattered too, I found my calling, became happier & healthier, made my family happier & healthier, and am a better mother & wife.
I absolutely love being a mother and that will always be my favorite role, but it’s not the only one. It may have taking a few years for me to find my identity and my happiness outside of motherhood, but I’m so thankful I did because I’m a better mom for it!
So don’t ever let your role as a mother keep you from living your best life, let it be the reason you do so!
I definitely don’t look like this when I’m out on my morning walks haha😓I’m usually super sweaty, hair up and all wet from sweat (I sweat so much, even when it’s cold)💦💦and definitely no makeup. Super unglamorous. I make some effort to look nice in my workout videos but I promise you I don’t really look like that when working out haha. But I hope you all got a sweat up today!👊🏼💖
Who thinks living a healthy lifestyle is overwhelming? 🙋🏼♀️
I used to be totally guilty of this. “Nah b, that looks like way too much work. I’m fine eating this frozen pizza.” 🙈
When I first started trying to live a more natural life, my family and friends thought I was legit crazy. This was way before eating organic and using natural products was the cool thing to do. 🌱
I had no idea where to even start trying to remove chemicals from my life. My food - but what’s bad? My body care products - wtf am I going to use instead? 😰
I spent years researching and testing out every product and tip imaginable. These days it’s second nature for me. And I want that for you.😘
That’s why I created The Whole Home Detox - a 10-day video based program designed to help you easily create a healthy home for your family. 🏡
And today is the LAST day to save $50. The price goes up at midnight. Click the link in my bio to learn more or to register now. 💖

Cuál es el mejor aceite para cocinar ?? 🤔
