It’s been so cold outside and its freezing in this house. ❄️ So I’ve been snuggling under the heated blanket and procrastinating my B O O T Y workout. 🍑👀 At least I don’t have to drive anywhere to work up a sweat. I have the “Netflix” of workouts and can chose from Yoga all the way to HIIT or Tabata. It’s my own little virtual fitness studio! 🤸🏻‍♀️I used to spend hundreds of dollars a year to be a part of a fancy gym I went to like twice a month. I saw no results and had NO direction! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now I get to be trained by my super trainers AND get a meal plan for way less! 💥 Let me know if you are ready to get results and crush your goals! My next group is starting in FEB. Now if I could only have someone carry me downstairs to hit play. 😂

For years Renee dabbled in yoga for fitness. In 2015 it became a mainstay in her daily life as a key element in overcoming her PTSD. When I was travelling in the Mediterranean, I loved the way each meal began with a small salad. This is a fabulous habit to adopt if you are wanting an easy way to increase your servings of vegetables. It can be a very simple salad of one or two chopped or grated veges, perhaps with a drizzle of olive oil and a splash of a tasty vinegar. Choose fresh, delicious veges that are full of flavour.

When we order food from a restaurant we automatically assume that it's fresh and safe to eat. This assumption is based on belief that the kitchen of that restaurant is clean, shiny, and the food is fresh. Sorry to tell you that it might not be the case😞.
As a nutritionist and future dietitian I learn about foodservice environment and production. I don't want to scare you, but many restaurants in the country violate food safety regulations till they get caught by the food inspectors. 
Can you imagine walking into the kitchen of a fancy New York hotel restaurant and find a mouse 🐀 swimming in the meat marinade? 
How about finding maggots in an 🍦ice cream machine of one of the fast food chain restaurants? 
Perhaps, you'll find workers of a large buffet sleeping on the kitchen floor in the dirty clothes or hundreds of roaches climbing all over the food of supposedly "healthy" restaurant.
This info comes from numerous reports from real food inspectors. All these are real documented cases that are completely disgusting 😝. Each food service facility either it's a fast food place or upscale restaurant should comply with food safety requirements. 
I just want you to be aware. If you ate a meal and got sick few hours later, then most likely the restaurant doesn't follow the regulations. It could be a sanitation issue, food safety violation, or contaminated food by a sick worker.
Last year I got very sick after eating lentil soup from an Italian place. Few days later my friend's kid got same sickness from this soup. Guess what, I'm not ordering meals there anymore.
Guys, be aware that you have all the power as a consumer to receive food that is safe to eat. Your best bet to stay healthy is to eat home cooked meals.

Tips To Keep You On Your Sugar Kicking Course!

Cravings are ugly and discouraging because it feels like something is in control and it's not you.
.
Right?

Here's a few tips to keep you on course:
.
1. Remember cravings are normal especially in the early days. .
2. Studies show it takes 21-28 days to break a habit. Other
studies say it takes 66 days. It doesn't matter if you fail. Just
keep going. .
3. Each day off sugar, we're creating new cellular and hormonal habits so each day you stay on track the better.
.
Try distracting yourself with other alternative sweetness:
.
1. For a mid afternoon slump match a FIX for it. For example, blend a raw cacao smoothie with frozen berries or ice (add Stevia or Chicory if needed).
.
2. Have a pot of herbal tea or iced tea and nibble on seasoned, raw nuts (Pecans, walnuts, almonds etc). A small handful, slowly chewed will help drop the cravings and give you needed fuel within minutes.
.
3. Hydrate with fruit infused water. Have a pitcher made ahead of time
with chilled fruit and sip.
.
4. Experiment with some of the recipes we created and freeze portions
so you have something handy when needed.
.
5. Freeze a few Grapes and Cherries. They make great chilled "candy." Try it, you'll see.
.
6. Eat some healthy fats they kill sugar cravings.
.
7. Consuming a bit of Apple Cider Vinegar before you sit down to eat a meal or when you have a craving will reduce food cravings.
.
So plan your FIX for those inevitable moments. Without a plan you will fall, especially in the beginning.

There is an old school idea that all structural injuries (bulges, tears etc) mean pain and dysfunction. Whilst some definitely do, there is no hard and fast link between injury severity and outcome. 
Why? Because there is more to it! 
Pain and function have so many more factors than damage (but thats another post). Here is a study that can help break that myth👉

This knowledge is important because fixating on damage creates fear----- which leads to avoidance---- which leads to weakness---- which leads to pain. So whilst these things need to be considered,  don't fear movement or limit what you think you can achieve. My recommendation is to turn off distractions - when it’s time to eat, JUST EAT. 📵 Stepping away from your work, turning off the TV, or simply putting down your phone during meals is a great first step towards Mindful Eating. I became a mother at 19 years old....before I knew who I was, before I knew the direction I wanted to go in life I was a mom. For 4 years that was my only identity. I cant even say I was a (good) wife because my sole focus was on my babies. Not that there is anything wrong with being fully invested in your children obviously, but I just didn’t know anything else! I wasn’t anything else.
I know a lot of you mommas can probably relate!
I went through bouts of depression because I desperately needed to start loving myself and taking care of myself but I would feel SO selfish about it, so I just let myself go.  I thought I was just supposed to take the backseat as a mom, but shit I wasn’t even in the backseat...I was being dragged by a rope attached to the backseat 😂
My kids will forever come before me BUT, now I know I absolutely have to make myself a priority too! If I hadn’t made that decision 3 years ago I would be popping happy pills right now sitting with my huge bowl of ice cream trying to make myself feel better about my life that was going nowhere. By deciding I mattered too, I found my calling, became happier & healthier, made my family happier & healthier, and am a better mother & wife.
I absolutely love being a mother and that will always be my favorite role, but it’s not the only one. It may have taking a few years for me to find my identity and my happiness outside of motherhood, but I’m so thankful I did because I’m a better mom for it!
So don’t ever let your role as a mother keep you from living your best life, let it be the reason you do so!

I definitely don’t look like this when I’m out on my morning walks haha😓I’m usually super sweaty, hair up and all wet from sweat (I sweat so much, even when it’s cold)💦💦and definitely no makeup. Super unglamorous. I make some effort to look nice in my workout videos but I promise you I don’t really look like that when working out haha. But I hope you all got a sweat up today!👊🏼💖
