This Mexican chicken in hot sauce (it is possible to choose between spicy and mild) was one of two dishes we tried at Le Coq. It's such a perfect meal if you're looking for simple, light and tasty food. The awesome thing is, that apart from that fine-soaked bread served with the meal, this might even be one of those healthier options full of protein and perfectly processed vegetables. 🐷🐷🐷🍗🍃🍅🌽

4️⃣ great tips to follow to help you in your fitness goals to carry forward through the rest of #2017
1. Consume most of your carbs around your workout time
This is the most effective way to gain muscle, whilst remaining lean. For most people, I would suggest carbs to be placed in and around your training. At others times stick with protein, veg and fat based meals.
2. Rest days are an opportunity to eat less calories
Calorie manipulation is a key tool when it comes to changing your body composition. Simply put, increase your calories slightly on training days, and then drop them down a little on rest days. Try adding white fish into your diet on rest days as this is a great source of low calorie high protein food. It's also easily digestible and gives your gut a break from red meats or other higher fat meats.
3. Focus on weight training over cardio
Cardio burns more fat than weights? I can assure you from 10 years of being a personal trainer that weights are the tool that will get you in the best shape and change your body. Cardio is a tool that can be used at appropriate times. But firstly focus on lifting before running.
4. Limit your fruit intake
This is always a topic of debate in the fitness world but regardless of the health benefits of fruit, they still contain large amount of sugar. I'm talking more about fruit smoothies and eating fruit in an abundance because it's deemed as 'healthy' fruit is Sugar and if consumed in excess and at the wrong time, it WILL hinder your fat loss. If I was to advise someone to eat fruit, it will be on training days ideally around their workout time. Berries are great go to fruits.
Have a great evening Everyone 🤓
