What do you do to keep you kids engaged in homework?? We have tried many tricks in the book... but, what never seems to fail is a good candy treat. Tonight threw in a game. "Bet you can't finish in 5 min?" If you do you can have a piece of candy. It's on, score one for mama. Home work done in no time.

Our first @raddishkids box! ...was AWESOME! 🙌 My kids love to cook and this kit gave them easy to follow instructions that they could follow as well as a guide for culinary skills (knife safety, whisking and setting the table) + they include a cute apron with a new patch each for each month and a different cooking utensil, this month, a whisk (they’re favorite tool to use). We made a few substitutions to fit our gluten/dairy free diet. But those were super easy to sub out. I highly recommend this to parents that want to teach their kids about cooking or have a fun family activity to share in. Yesterday's cheat day means I had to eat better today... and eat with chopsticks😳it just makes you eat less!! It's a good trick... 🌱Well, for dinner I had brown rice, guacamole and crunchy veggies!! 🤓My clients always ask me the difference between white and brown rice. Brown rice is the whole grain with just the first outer layer (husk or hull) removed through milling. It retains its fiber and germ which contains vital nutrients. White rice is brown rice that has been milled to remove the bran and much of the germ, reducing fiber and nutrients. This leaves white rice with very few essential nutrients, which is why brown rice is usually considered much healthier than white.
Brown rice has Phatic acid coating, which makes absorption of other nutrients hard, that's why it's very important to soak brown rice for at least an hour, and rinse it before cooking.

Well sleep is getting harder and harder each night so this mama loves her coffee in the morning. I’m still only having one cup each day but you know it’s not a good sign with you think it’s Wednesday. 😆 Since I just had another kidney stone episode I have decided sitting up to sleep is going to be the way to go until this baby girl arrives. Gravity needs to keep my other stones in my kidneys for the next six weeks, so limiting my laying is my plan. Since I now realize it’s Tuesday, happy Tuesday!!!

The more I am in Fitness, the more I know that every person needs to be an expert on her own body.
And once you hear “There is something wrong with you,” you begin to believe it.
I want to encourage you to be an advocate for You.
If something feels wrong in your body, listen to it and do what is right. If someone tells you there is something “wrong” with you and you disagree, be an advocate for your own Health and choose your solution.
And remember that the expert you are talking to is an expert in a specific field..... not on YOU.
You are the expert on you.
I love the feeling of mornings and what each day brings! I love hanging out with my little guys while we are all still waking up. Mornings have always been a favorite time of the day for me. I guess just because it makes me feel like I get a new beginning every time I get out of bed.
With that said, Day 16 of Whole30 and my other New Years resolutions is under way! Breakfast was potatoes and sweet peppers topped with 2 fried eggs and 4 pieces of sugar free bacon. Along with that is my coffee complete with compliant creamer (No added sugar or dairy). Yum!
I am also spending time with the Lord this morning while my boys watch their morning show. I am working in building this habit of doing my studies in the morning and around my boys so they see that it's an important part of life. We have also incorporated reading bible stories to them before nap and bedtime, which they look forward to every time!
Weeknight summer Fish 🐟 & Veggies 🌽 for the fam!! Wild caught NZ Hoki - dusted with brown rice flour/S&P, pan fried, squeezed with lemon mmm mmm! Homemade potato chips baked with coconut oil & garlic powder. Organic corn & green beans for my tiny men and organic slaw with baby spinach for moi!! 🤤🤙🤙
Day off well spent. Honestly, we didn’t spend much time at the top here. It was super windy, and freaking cold 😬lol, and we were slightly underprepared. We took off after a few and played in the snow down the road ❄️#howisthisevenreal#pnw
It feels good to get back in our routine after being gone for a week! We really enjoyed ourselves and to be honest, I wasn’t super excited to go to work this morning. I only have three weeks of work to go until maternity leave so I guess I can’t complain too much. Kirk grilled up some pork tonight and we kept it simple with a salad! Grilled meat with salads seem to be our go to meal. It’s quick, easy and cleanup is basically nothing. What’s a staple meal in your house?
I must be the luckiest girl! I got super spoiled ALL weekend with cosy places to sleep, wicked bedding, delicious food and company that melted my heart.
I got TWO workouts in. On a weekend, away from home. 🤔😎😊 I'm incredibly thankful for the people in my life who make fitness a priority and make it easier for me to achieve as well. I LOVE that!! .

Last week I tried a new program with timed meals. I was nervous because I wasn't sure if I would be able to stick with it. What I did know is that my usual way of doing things wasn't working.
