Back home and back to yummy toasts. After an amazing cruise with the family. I’m so excited to be home and in my kitchen. Came back to 50 degree weather in South Florida so I’m pretty excited about my run later today. Finally sweater weather 😍 Came home and got this yummy snack in my belly in two seconds. I put the following in the crockpot and let it hang out for 4hrs on high: 🍅 2 cans diced tomatoes + green chilies, 2 cans kidney beans, 1lb lean ground turkey, 1/2 onion, 1 can tomato soup, chili powder, cumin, cayenne 🌶

Threw in some extra calories and fat with a dollop of light sour cream and avocado slices. Since fats provide more calories/gram than other macronutrients, they can act as a nice calorie buffer (i.e. you can easily increase or decrease your intake, depending on your needs)

For example, if you’re meeting your protein needs but you’re having trouble eating the right amount of calories, adding a bit of avocado, nuts, or olive oil to meals can help. For me, it can be hard to eat regularly when I’m busy, so I focus on making mealtimes extra dense and nutritious!

These lentils look like total sludge but taste like dream’s come true. Stewed Indian lentils topped with sautéed asparagus and 1/2 avocado (truffle salt on that avo if you’re feeling EXTRA.) 🥑 🔥 🤤. (Lentils are 26% protein so a great source for #vegan or #vegetarian diets.) .

We’ve had a busy day today, but I wanted to share that as of this morning, Steve is down 13...THIRTEEN pounds in 12 days. (That’s nearly a stone in British🇬🇧terms)

He’s also not SNORING as much and sleeping like a baby...🤪 Just had to post because I’m super proud of him for sticking to it!!! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 #OneStepataTime
