☀️It’s so important for us to take care of the ONLY body we have! There’s no overdo’s, no going back, and no repeats. God gave us one body in this world to take control of. So no matter how different it is from the rest, it is our job to take care of this valuable gift and treat it with as much love, respect, and care.
☀️Everyone is different... different journeys, different goals, different genetics, etc.. Never compare yourself to other people because you don’t know them or what they have been through to reach the place where they are in their journey. Just like these people, you have your own journey to focus on, your own body to take care of, and your own goals to reach. Take time in your life to focus on your own health and inspire others including yourself everyday with how far you have come so far on your journey.
☀️That’s why living a healthy lifestyle should never be focused on how we look, but rather how we feel, where we are, and how far we have come. It’s all about enjoying our own journey, and watching our progress, knowledge and happiness grow each and every day (because it’s definitely not something that happens overnight)😊❤️
Feelin' in need of a pick me up.
My current reflection is terrifying 😲😲
White as a ghost 👻
The bags under my eyes assure me I won't be spending 5p at a supermarket for the foreseeable 🎒🛍
My lips have more cracks than a builder's backside 🍑
And my hair needs to see a heating appliance asap! 👧
However, this little throw back has brightened my mood (stupid flu) 🤗😇 Three years apart - little transformation Tuesday!! Gosh, I can make fun of my looks right now due to being ill but the real joke is that I chose to look like that on the left. I also think I had dropped about 5lbs in that photo as was travelling around Bali 😂 oh Lorah!! #Transformationtueaday#weightloss#newme#myweightlossjourney#myjourney#facetoface#progresspic#healthyfoodblog#foodblog#fitness#exercise#fitfam#fattofit (fit as in health, not the big headed type)
CHAI - one of the best morning greetings. A stimulating, herbal, nourishing and vitalising hot tea drink - when prepared well - it tastes wonderful.
Like yoga practice and, let's face it, most things in life - the key is all in the preparation - here's my version for busy modern day life:
Warm the milk in a pan on a medium heat. Add whilst the milk is warming... 1 cardamom pod per cup
fresh ginger ( finely chopped)
coconut sugar to your taste
black tea leaves (one tsp per cup) of your preference. I use Bois Cherie Vanilla tea from Mauritius as the vanilla adds a lovely flavour.
I also add a small teaspoon of tea masala mix which has nutmeg, pepper, different types of cardamom and cloves.
Keep stirring and simmer to boiling point (but don't over boil as the tea will become too bitter)
Pour the mix through a strainer into a teapot.
From the teapot (here's the fun part) pour from a height into your cup or mug. Enjoy 🤓🙏💕 #chai#ayurveda#cleaneater#cleanbreakfast#recipes#healthyfoodblog#yogabalance#healthyfoodchoices#nutrition#diet#thrive#selfheal#mybodo#instafoodie#boischerieestate

Ancho Chile Quesadillas - 4 servings
Rehydrated dry chiles often have more intense and multidimensional flavors than fresh. In this simple quesadilla recipe, mildly spicy ancho chiles (dried poblanos) and nutty Gruyère cheese melt together for an easy snack or quick dinner. ---- Tag a friend you want to eat this with! ---- Ingredients
4 dried ancho chiles (about 2 ounces)
1¼ cups grated Gruyère cheese
1¼ cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
12 (5 inch) corn tortillas
Lime wedges and/or salsa for serving .
1.Remove stems and seeds from chiles. Place the chiles in a bowl, cover with warm water and soak until softened, about 15 minutes. Drain, pat dry and coarsely chop.
2.Combine Gruyère and Jack cheeses in a bowl.
3.Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Briefly heat tortillas in the pan, turning once, until warm. Keeping the rest wrapped tightly in a clean dish towel, lay 4 tortillas at a time out on a clean cutting board. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon cheese on half of each tortilla. Top with about 2 teaspoons of the chiles, then sprinkle with another tablespoon cheese. Fold closed. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, cheese and chiles.
4.Cook 4 quesadillas at a time in the pan over medium heat until crisp and golden on both sides, 3 to 5 minutes total. Cover to keep warm while you cook the next 2 batches. Serve immediately with lime wedges and/or salsa, if desired.
Bringing color back, wearing a bright sweater as the weather is still 👎🏻 but seeing the 🌅 at the end of all this coldness 😀 Oh yeah, I also have a new yummy recipe on the blog this week that will be a quick one to make for Valentine’ s Day ....or for any other day when you are craving a chocolaty dessert!!
