It's a rainy day here in Stockholm so I decided to warm me up with some chocolatey French toast😍😍 because being on a cutting phase doesn't mean that you cannot enjoy chocolate 😜
👩🏼🍳 In a bowl, mix 50g egg whites with 50ml milk (I used @alpro coconut chocolate 😋) and some cinnamon
👩🏼🍳 Dip 3 slices of whole wheat bread 🍞 in the mixture and cook on a medium low heat until they reach a yummy color 😍
👩🏼🍳 Put some nectarine 🍑 between each layer of your stack and top the whole stack with some protein chocolate frosting and some peanut butter 👅
👩🏼🍳 For the frosting: melt a square of @lindtsverige 70% dark chocolate in the microwave and mix it with 10g protein powder (I used @pescience pb cookie 🍪) and some water 💦 until you get a saucy consistency ☺️

Protein french toast for breakfast 💖 Still in shock after last night's events in Barcelona 😥 I always thought it would happen at some point but looking at photos of the aftermath now, of a place I've called home for so long, really hurts. [DEKSTROZA; Kad, šta, kako]
Dekstroza (glukoza, grožđani šećer) je jednostavan ugljikohidrat s jako visokim glikemijskim indeksom (GI=137) i iznimno brzom apsorpcijom što je važno upravo nakon treninga. Dekstrozu sportaši koriste jer podiže inzulin (a on nosi aminokiseline u mišićne stanice), ali i za punjenje glikogena u mišićnim stanicama koji je potrošen tijekom treninga.
Da ne bi bilo zabune, nakon treninga, dekstrozu konzumirate s proteinima kako bi ovaj šećer ubrzao oporavak mišića i njihovu regeneraciju te pospješio ugradnju proteina u gladne mišiće.
Glukoza je izvor brze energije jer se iznimno brzo apsorbira. Svi drugi ugljikohidrati se prvo moraju dovesti do oblika glukoze prije nego što se u organizmu iskoriste kao energija.
U ovu transformaciju se ulaže vrijeme i energija, te organizmu ostaje manji iznos za mišićne potrebe. Upravo stoga, dekstroza je najbolji jednostavni šećer za sportaše koji imaju daleko veće energetske potrebe od prosječnih ljudi.
Studije pokazuju da je optimalna količina dekstroze za podizanje inzulina između 50 i 75 grama. Ipak,. imajte na umu da ta količina ovisi o intenzitetu treninga i mišićnoj masi koju imate pa neće ista količina dekstroze biti potrebna nekome od stotinu kilograma i djevojci od 50.
Ipak, iako dekstroza ima mnoge prednosti za organizam, ne znači da je trebate unositi kad god vam padne na pamet. Naime, ukoliko unesete previše ugljikohidrata s visokim glikemijskim indexom, a tijelo nema potrebe za toliko energije koju iz njih dobijete, oni će se u organizmu pohraniti kao masti. Također, dekstroza nije potrebna ljudima bez tjelesnih aktivnosti.

1/2 medium-sized ripe banana, mashed (50 g or 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup (60 ml) unsweetened almond milk*
1 Tbsp (16 g) nut butter** (optional, but recommended)
1 tsp (5 ml) maple syrup (or other liquid sweetener)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 slice of hearty bread, cubed***
1/4 cup (20 g) quick oats
Preheat oven to 375F (190C) and lightly grease an individually-sized oven-safe dish. Set aside.
Combine banana, almond milk, nut butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a large shallow bowl, mixing until fully combined. Pour bread cubes into the mixture and use a fork to lightly press down so that they absorb most of the liquid. Add oats and gently stir until everything is evenly incorporated. If the mix seems too dry, add a splash of extra milk.
Transfer mixture to your prepared dish, adding a few slices of banana on top if desired. Bake for 20 minutes, until the bake has set and the top has turned golden brown.
Remove from oven and top with toppings of choice or simply enjoy as is!
Swiss chard season 🌿 Cut the stalks in smaller pieces, tear the leafy bits in smaller pieces. Pan fry the stalks in cold pressed coconut oil and one finely chopped garlic clove until slightly soft. Add the leafs and toss around for a minute. Remove from heat, salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with cold pressed lemon juice. And maybe add some toasted hazelnuts if you like (love)! YUM 💚

After watching #whatthehealthfilm I'm going bck #vegan don't know why I stopped in the first place 🤦🏾♀️ specially with the kids .... think it's convenient to go with the flow eat what the world eats.... even though we know it's killing us and so bad for our health, and the way they kill these animals 😳shocking. Tarte à la tomate 🍅
Here's a really simple, super quick & incredibly easy dinner idea for you...
- slice a piece of puff pastry in half (Pampas Puff Pastry is vegan!)
- transfer them to an oven tray
- score a line 1cm from each edge of both pieces
- spread over some dijon mustard
- cover with cherry tomatoes inside the border
- sprinkle over some thyme
- sprinkle some of your fav grated or crumbled cheese (I used vegan)
- bake in the oven on 180 for around 30mins or until golden
- serve with a side of salad & veggies 👍🏻
Ps- night time = harsh artificial lighting 👎🏻
