CONSCIOUS EATING. I'm that girl that orders a salad at @cheesecakefactory. 🥗 If you follow my IG stories, you probably already know that I eat out A LOT. (True millennial right here. 🙋🏽 #whatmealprep ) How do I eat out so much and still have abs? I check in with my body and ask questions! Some questions I ask myself:
1️⃣ Have I drank enough water today? Usually the answer is "No!" so that's usually my drink of choice.
2️⃣ How will I feel after eating this? Will I feel happier and more lively, or will I feel sluggish, bloated, and somehow depressed? Food is medicine and since I already battle with depression, I don't need more help feeling depressed! Green, leafy vegetables will uplift you; sugary, carby, and fried foods will NOT.
3️⃣ How hard have I been working out this week? Do I really want to derail the 2 hours of hard work I put in at the gym today for a 5 minute impulse?
4️⃣ What can my tastebuds/palate handle? Since starting my fitness journey, my tastebuds have cleaned up so much! Foods I once loved are now too saccharine for me to stand. 😖 If I ordered wine, do I really need dessert too, or will the sweetness of the wine satisfy my cravings?
5️⃣ Do I really want dessert? Am I even hungry enough to eat dessert? Or am I just entranced because I just saw some and it "looks pretty"?
6️⃣ Am I being pressured to order something I'm not craving because of where I am? (For example, feeling like you "have" to try Butterbeer at Harry Potter world, eat cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory, order a burger at McDonald's, etc.) Remember that YOU are in control of YOUR body and YOUR OWN FOOD CHOICES. No one is holding a gun to your head and making you eat crap, so get out of your own way, clean up that diet, and take personal responsibility for your own health, ladies! You will not regret it, trust me! 😊 You do NOT need to sacrifice eating out with friends in order to eat healthy! #healthyisachoice#consciouseating#eatmindfully

Great workout with my sister in law. Finally back to my routine. Must admit was pretty upset when I got on the scale, and gained 10 pounds. I love ❤️ my curves, and I am the CEO of my body, but It comes a time where you have to get back in shape. Never give up on yourself even when you slip up and feel disappointed. I feel like I've been running late for a week! 😜 I've had a sore throat & a head cold that has made me feel weak & slow. I wanted to get in a workout at 5:30 this morning, but it didn't happen until 8:30. This is a Choice! Every day it's a choice! Even though I was running late, I chose to get back into my workout routine. Every minute was a struggle - I chose to keep going! I'm so thankful for the Accountability my Challenge Groups give me!

Ok, so last night I was lucky enough to spend the night in a luxury hotel suite all to myself. To say it was amazing is a serious understatement. It was exactly what I needed to hit the reset button on my life & refocus my priorities! 👌
Anyways - something unbelievable happened…I bought a crap load of junk because I’d decided last night was going to be a write-off eating wise… and I BARELY ATE ANY OF IT! 😱 I know, I’m still shocked!! •
So…I went a little overboard when I was shopping at the grocery store. I did buy some healthy options (kale salad mix & grapes) but mainly just “bad” food that I used to binge on all the time, including tortellini in cheese sauce, chips, chocolate, candy & cheesecake 🤦♀️. I also picked up a bottle of wine & some energy drinks (I wanted to stay up late but wine makes me sleepy).
Old me would have eaten every last piece of tortellini, no problem, & then eaten a big slice of cheesecake, all washed down with a couple glasses of wine *cringe*…BUT by portioning out the pasta & adding in half a plate of kale salad - I was full & had leftovers for today’s lunch! 👍
I didn’t even finish one glass of wine - I craved water instead!! I went through almost 2 pitchers of water & didn’t even touch the energy drinks.
The only junk food I really had was the kit-kat bar - scandalous, I know! And instead of craving the gummies, I wanted the grapes 🍇
It’s just SO weird, but SO exciting! It shows me that my body is on-board with a healthy-lifestyle, now I just need my mind to catch up. It proves that it’s 100% a mental decision between what we ’think' we want vs what our bodies ACTUALLY want! 💡
Ok - epiphany over - that is my nugget of weight-loss wisdom for the day 👍
Yesterday I kicked Fitgirl butt!!!! Went for a walk to the park with the babes, so total 10 block walk while pushing a double stroller. Warm up exercises, and light weights! Drank lots of water. Nice hot Epsom bath. Might have fell asleep a little bit lol. Then cozy up into bed with the babes. Best sleep I've gotten in months!!! Too bad I had to be at work by 5am.
Excited for another healthy day!

Breakfast for dinner? My quite rare dairy treat. If yogurt then goat's or sheep's.. This one goat's with Brazil nuts and a ton of whey protein.. And here is why this meal is better for dinner than breakfast: dairy even though not that carb-dense has insulinogenic properties. Kindda a weird thing. And so does whey! So always better towards the end of the day after some activity.. I accidentally had a long non-feeding/feeding window, not sure how to call it since . I had breakfast at 9 am and then this 12 hours later! My diet today was a mess, not a usual routine.. But it's very interesting to go with the flow of your day sometimes and see how your body works. I definitely messed up for breakfast as I had fruit, about 4 peaces, not low carb, which, if needed, usually is eaten in the second part of the day after sport, and so I actually thought that I was gonna crush soon in the day. I had 3 clients, being a PT that kindda defines your lifestyle as "active" especially that I prefer to physically participate during my training others. And around 7 pm I felt a surge of energy and did 10 min of burst training on a treadmill and 3 sets of 15 reps of clean jerks that left me pretty breathless, some deadlifts and single arm shoulder presses. A "quick-whiz-workout" at high intensity, the way I like it..
Finally as I lifted enough, for the first time today I felt hungry and after a nice and active day some insulin was okay :)) Having eaten quick carbs for breakfast and having managed to go all day with perfect energy I am proud to announce (hopefully not erroneously) that my insulin sensitivity is through the roof :))HAHA🏆
Quick tips for that: fast, workout, build lean body mass!YAS!! P.S. My #timerestrictedfeeding is due for a recalibration, it's just that I am playing tennis early morning and really needed some nutrients in otherwise would have no reason not to go to bed #fasted
People are consumed by their weight (or how they look) all the time. They’re consumed when they weigh too much, and consumed when they’re trying to maintain. It’s undeniable that everyone notices how they feel about their body, regardless of where they fall on this spectrum. Personally, I would rather be consumed while maintaining a healthy weight (and looking and feeling my best). It takes effort to be fit. We are always choosing, choosing to eat healthier options, choosing to work out consistently; however, I can say with confidence that choosing a healthy lifestyle is always the better choice. It’s within our control, and is worth all of the effort. My advice: live a couple pounds away from your goal body, live in a way that if you had an event coming up, it would only take about a week or two to look your best. There’s nothing better than feeling good in your own body, being confident, and proud.
