When your day is lit up with great plans that keep you hopping, do your sweet self a favor and sit the f$ck down for breakfast. 
Here's my daily tonic: fresh lemon, turmeric, ginger, acv, black pepper, raw honey (bc have you ever *enjoyed* acv on its own I mean really), warmed up a little. 
And the porridge that totally gets me 😍these days:  mix of oat bran and oats, big scoops puréed pumpkin, water, some sea salt, lots of pumpkin spices, raw honey. Microwaved. And then whatever toppings are handy work for me. None needed tho. 
And yah that's the Sunday paper because I like to read a little while I eat alone and I am still not caught up and the biz pages are interesting AF and way better than most of the other crap we deal with on the daily. #fitwithflare

It is why you may be miserable, unhappy, and not moving forward. If you are positive, thinking you CAN and WILL succeed, and that you are putting focus on what you want and have gratitude for you days you will attract it.

NEVER ask "What else can go wrong?" Because you are asking for more!!!! Pay more attention to your thoughts and stop negative ones or turn them around. Gratitude really changes you! Have gratitude for every situation no matter how bad! Between writing in a journal every day for what I am grateful for and reading ny affirmations every day I am seriously astounded how my mind has already turned around and how much more happier I am. IT. IS. WORTH IT. ❤ .

It's finally boot season here in Virginia and I am so excited! I skipped my normal early morning workout for a little more sleep and it was well worth it. Sometimes your body just needs more rest.

It's that time of year.  I'm so giddy that it's finally cooling off here in Georgia and so it was the perfect excuse for my Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal. 
This recipe is dairy free and gluten free which I highly recommend for those trying to manage their PPD. The coconut milk, pumpkin, and honey have incredible health benefits that you can read up on more on my blog post. 
Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal:
Ingredients:

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup mashed pumpkin or 1 can of pumpkin puree
1 cup coconut milk (or 1 can) + 2 cups water
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
Directions:

Mix all ingredients into a saucepan. Cook oatmeal as usual.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups rolled oat, old fashioned oat
- 2 sdt Baking powder
- 1 cups madu - 2 telur - 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 sdm cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- 11/2 cup susu cair
- Garam secukupnya
Toppings:
- Chocochips
- Walnuts
- Almonds
- Dried apricot
- Dried cranberries
- Dried Figs

Cara buat:
1. Campurkan semua bahan cair. Aduk rata.
2. Masukkan bahan kering (oat,baking powder & garam). Aduk rata.
3. Taburi topping sesuai selera
4. Tuang ke dalam muffin tray. Panggang selama 30 menit di 180 C.

For good or bad, the decisions you make of what you put into your mouth will either lengthen or shorten your life (and the quality of it). That statement takes into consideration disease, genetics, culture and age. Nutrition is the biggest influence.  #2 EXERCISE. Have you ever heard “a body in motion stays in motion while a body at rest stays at rest” that is true for your whole body. Exercise has numerous positive, longevity benefits. #3 STRESS MANAGEMENT. Yep, the third most important thing you can do for your health, and your future is to learn how to manage your stress. It needs to be a daily priority. If you do learn ways to manage stress your cells will actually live longer. And last #4 SUPPORT. Proven by many studies, we need a community. We need to belong. We need connection and attachments. ✔️1 cup burgul, soaked in the pumpkin cooking water & drained

When you make some snacks for a few good friends 😋 good morning world 🌎 it’s early morning and I am halfway between home and my destination to visit family.  Can’t wait to see everyone and share good food and their  good company. It’s not often that we can all come together, so when we do I come with a heart of love and understanding, an ear for listening and learning and a smile to share. These were some snacks I made just before summer. What a fun little vegan tray of spicy cauliflower wings, first time falafel, my sundried tomato and chickpea crackers and plenty of hummus and baba ganoush.

Leg day!!! This workout is always hard. Regular squats and back lunges I can do just fine. It’s the Bulgarian split squats and front lunges that just about kill me. Yikes. 
So why bother? 
Because weighted leg workouts work more than just the legs: 
It’s working out the arms that are holding the weights. 
The abs/core are working hard to stabilize the movements. 
The legs support other activities like running, and strengthening them helps improve performance. 
Strong legs help give you better balance. 
Strong legs help you lift bags of groceries, pick up kids, or rearrange your furniture with more ease and less chance of injury. 
Plus, the leg muscles are a large muscle group, so strengthening them brings a great calorie burn around the clock and helps raise your baseline metabolism!

But when it comes to trying to find pure products to use on my skin...I've found DIY is the way to go! I whipped up this face serum today using mainly the oils from my YL kit. It literally took a minute to do, and I know exactly what I'm putting on my face. Can you say WIN-WIN!?? I added the Peace and Calming for a little more of a pleasing scent...because why not get some sensory experience out of it as well!? 🙌🏻❤️

Ik train mijn benen daarom de komende tijd 1 keer per week. Inmiddels sta ik weer in de sportschool voor een schoudertrainig. Ik ben van plan om vanavond een lesje Barré te doen. Iets met rekken en strekken? Heb jij wel eens Barré gedaan en wat vond je ervan? 🙋🏽

1 small head cabbage chopped
2 carrots grated
1Tbsp paprika
2 Tomatoes chopped
2 Bay leaves
1c compliant stock
S&P

Sautéed cabbage in EVOO, for 5 min, add paprika, tomatoes, carrots, bay leaves and stock.  Stir everything together and simmer on low until no liquid is remaining.  Serve with your protein of choice!!

So I’m tackling the Whole30. I’ve changed my mind several times on this but it is just 30 days, and in 30 days hopefully it will help me decide how to move forward! Our sweet baby boy Greyson's  original due date would have been on or around 10/5/17, so we decided to celebrate him on the 5th... Going in to this day I didn't know how I feel or if my body would "react" again since this would have been his  delivery date.

This day has now come and gone and I can say that  no physical internal things happened. I'm not sure why they would since I delivered on 6/15 but you never know how the body will react. Kind of like when people lose limbs they feel phantom movements.

This day was hard but 13 days later, I am here and doing much better. I've started walking and  working out more, eating better, and working on getting more sleep.

I thought these days may never come. Its been a slow process but I am looking  forward to all that is to come in our  nearing future.

I recently purchased the Young Living Kidscents Shampoo. It is highly concentrated, so I took the guess work out of how much to use and put some in a foaming pump so we can wash their hair easier. Worked like a charm.

3 weeks today with our little Eira. I couldn't care less about my belly. But here's a bit about what's been happening in our third week postpartum. 
Yesterday I called my midwife & I'll add here that I'm so grateful to have someone so attentive look after me and my little ones. She also took care of Seth and I. 
I was concerned about constant somewhat dim weird pain in my uterus a  return of blood loss & a feeling of swelling. I'd been pushing all of these symptoms to the back of my mind thinking has to be normal right. I'm only in my first 3 weeks postpartum. Even though I new it was completely different to my recovery after Seth. But Eira's different so my body must be too 🤷🏽‍♀️. Anyways long story short. Trust your instincts ladies. With Everything!!! It seems I have an infection in my uterus and an ultrasound today found some placenta left over after Eira's birth. Something not uncommon apparently. Seems I'll be going into hospital for a procedure to have it removed. Not looking forward to that but thank goodness it should not have an affect on my feeding Eira. & aren't we lucky to live in a country where we have access to all forms of medical treatments. 
Yesterday I was concerned about Eira. & if all this would affect my ability to feed my baby. Something so important to me it's hard to put into words. They've put me on a lot of antibiotics to fight the infection and seems I'll be on more in the near future. There was a chance Eira could have a reaction to the antibiotics or one of the antibiotics could change the flavour of my milk. (I'm taking 2) But she seems fine in both regards. What a relief !! So Dr's tomorrow for more answers. & grateful today for amazing care from my midwife. & medicine to get me better. 
If anyone has any advice on healing Eira's & my gut flora after all the antibiotics pls share 🙋🏽. We will get her an infant probiotic, I'm taking probiotics, & will get more in through food and drink. But any other advice would be great.

Konjac root has a low calorie content but is very high in fiber. ••• Consuming fiber makes you feel full so you are less likely to overeat. • Healthy amounts of fiber also relieves constipation • and can lower cholesterol and help diabetes ••• I like getting this wonderful source of fiber by using the noodles shown, in soups and broths. Miracle Noodles are another brand or sometimes they are packaged as Shirataki noodles. Or, you can also buy glucomannan powder in capsules or bulk. The bulk powder is great to throw in smoothies or to whisk into soups. You only need 1/4-1/2 tsp. It will thicken whatever you put it in.

Still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that our baby boy will be making his appearance in the next few weeks hopefully! We had our prenatal visit last week and he was still head down (thank goodness) with a STRONG heart beat 💙 My midwife said I'm right on track and she doubts he'll be early, if anything he'll probably be late, but oh well 😏 We start weekly home visits with our midwife next week until he's born!

Baby M is now about 6 1/2 pounds and over 19 inches long or the size of a length of swiss chard 🌿 He's been getting hiccups at least twice a day and moves almost constantly, unless other people try to feel him or watch him move and then he immediately stops #stinkerbaby

Alright y'all...spam me with your fave tunes to listen to when you workout!! I'm so out of the loop, iit's not sung on Disney Jr, then I haven't heard it 🙈

I used to know ALL the "in" songs. I would spend hours at the gym with pandora playing on my headphones. .
I would go back and forth between the treadmill and elliptical. Then I ran...a lot. Ran marathons and half marathons. LOTS of time to listen to music. But even with all that time, I never had the body I thought I wanted and never felt healthy.

Then, after having 2 babies I lost all my pregnancy weight and then some, was toned in places I never even realized was possible and felt incredible and confident in my skin...all from these silly at home workouts in my living room and mindful eating.

Work was looooong, and I came home feeling like my to do list is a mile long. Truthfully I'm feeling a little overwhelmed tonight...finding our new normal is a work in progress. I'm just feeling "off."

But rather than sitting here wallowing in anxiety and polishing off the ice cream in the freezer, I'm choosing to stop and take a deep breath. Dive into a new book. Snuggle my family and my puppies. And remember that tomorrow is a new day.

You don't have to do everything all at once. Just do the next thing right in front of you. Especially if that's taking a break...sometimes that's just what you NEED💗
