Truth! I don’t take what I do for granted! What makes me happy is knowing that I have paid it forward in someone’s life. That I have motivated and inspired them to be and do better. I just didn’t get into this biz for the capital gains. I got into it knowing that I would change lives forever and that is what makes me happiest! #happygirlsaretheprettiest
Needed to fuel up for my big outing!
Today I'm getting out for the first time in a long time without baby and I don't even know what to do with myself! My mother-in-law has Nolan for the afternoon!
I thought, "I could go out for lunch but I probably won't eat the healthiest." So Instead I threw together a veggie bowl with chickpea pasta and tomato sauce. This will help give me the fuel to carry all my shopping bags. Sorry Austin! .
Taco seasoning is one of the easiest things to make. Forget buying it pre-made from the store. This recipe will take you less than 5 minutes to make and there is no unneeded extras in it. Just flavor!
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
You can even make a big batch and store it for future use.

Homemade bath salts are easy to make! Just add equal parts baking soda and epsom salt to a glass jar and add your favorite oils (I used about 4 drops each with 1/2 cup epsom salt and 1/2 cup baking soda) and shake really well. This is one of my favorite combos!🛁

Who feels FAR from my age. - that’s why I make it a priority to work mobility, core stability, stretching & foam rolling into most every day...& every day I workout.

The growing rate of obesity in children is the greatest it has EVER been! 🙁
Teaching my girls healthy habits that start with a healthy Mom is one of my primary goals with the whole coaching biz of mine. Because of that, I try to share all my meals with them, so it’s a break in our day to spend quality time, even if in the mornings it’s rushed and on our bedroom floor, but also a lasting memory that will hopefully leave an imprint on them someday.
I get to teach my toddler the importance of a fueling not feeding breakfast, especially on the mornings when she tries throwing a fit because she wants candy after having a bite the day before (sugar addiction at its finest). We talk about fruits and vegetables and how some things are okay to have every once in awhile, but if we eat them too much we don’t feel so well and our body hurts. We also pray over our meals and she’s usually the one that does it. 💞
I know that her favorite breakfast is peanut butter, blueberries and either honey or pure maple syrup on a waffle or in a “wrapper,” and we just talk and laugh, and then sometimes I have to get onto her for moving at snail-like pace #toddlerlife , and we have to hurry to my weekly 9:30 classes. #worthit
Someday my girls won’t need me to make them breakfasts anymore, and setting the tone for a day of healthy eating is important. I am taking advantage of these moments and teaching points as long as I possibly can, and praying that some day they will sink in and truly make a difference in the health and well-being of not just my girls, but of the generations to come after them.
No time for my Thought 💭 of the day this morning... It was a struggle to just get my 30 min workout in (we are on DAY 2 of our newest program clean week), followed by showering 🚿in time to get out of the house 🏡 to get to work on time this morning 😩
Cooper's been teething sooooo bad! My poor baby 👶🏼 needs all the cuddles he can get from his Mama and Dada! That meant I was up from 1am - 2am and again from 5:30-6:15am!
But I did it!!! I'm at work. I got the benefits of my exercise (not so much needing the physical), but an increase in energy is what this Mama needs 👍🏼- and the 30 min a day definitely helps. I swear I drag my butt when I don't get it in.
1- Do you make the time to exercise because of non scale victories like increase energy, improved strength, or better flexibility? To help with daily living? And not necessarily for the weight loss factor?
2- Can an 8 month old's lateral incisors be coming in already? And are the incisors worse when it comes to symptoms? Cooper has been hurtin! 😢

If I'm being totally honest, I considered not sharing this photo. Why? Because those crazy purple shoes weren't the ones I wanted her to wear.
Yep, because of shoes...Crazy, right?! But the thing is, I'm a recovering perfectionist who is often a little too concerned with what others think.
And honestly, it goes a lot deeper than shoes. For far too long, I was afraid to share my struggle with food because I thought others would judge me. I hesitated bringing up my issues with self-image because I thought no one would understand. I avoided the whole weight issue altogether because I was concerned it would only confirm my fears that others really did see me as overweight and unworthy.
When in fact, the complete opposite is true. As I started sharing my struggle, I didn't hear any voices poking fun or calling me out. Rather I heard lots of voices saying, "Me too."
You see, when we have the courage to go first and really be seen and heard. Well, it paves the way for others to do the same whether it's with weight or loss or grief or anxiety...It opens the gate for that chorus of "me toos." And, friend, that is a beautiful place to be.
So from one afraid-to-be-seen mama to another...Just share the picture with the shoes, or better yet, start the conversation about your loss or struggle. 💕
