Mulled White Wine Sangria
Posted by ila nguyen on December 30, 2014
Our white sangria is spicy and potent; perfect for kicking off a New Years Eve soiree! The best part is that this can be made ahead - just add the grapes right before serving. If you want to make a vegan version, simply substitute honey with agave or maple syrup.
Mulled White Wine Sangria
serves 6-8 people
1 cup water
½ c honey
¼ c fresh lemon juice
1 compact Organic Mulling Spice Seasoning
2 bottles dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc
¼ c orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Bauchant
1 apple or pear, thinly sliced
2 lemons, preferably Meyer, thinly sliced
1 orange, thinly sliced
2-3 c grapes, frozen
optional: Organic Cinnamon Sticks
1. Bring water, honey, lemon juice, and spices to a simmer in a large saucepan. Reduce heat to low, and let infuse for 10-15 minutes. Strain and cool.
2. Mix spice syrup, wine, fruits (except for frozen grapes), and liqueur in a large pitcher. Refrigerate overnight.
3. To serve, pour in punch bowl in glasses, and add frozen grapes. The grapes will keep the drinks cold and prevent watering down. Add cinnamon sticks as garnish.

Do you accessorize better? When it comes to your bowls, their base should be non-starch veggies like greens, peppers, cucumbers etc. Then the fun begins! I accessorize with cultured (fermented) veggies whenever I can to support better digestion and because I like that they add some salty flavor. I might accessorize with Hemp seeds or wild salmon or both! If you want some coconut or regular bacon, make that an accessory too. Just like your jewels or scarf, these accessories add color, texture and can make an outfit so much better!
These are not the greatest pictures .. but snapped them super quick as I was checking out .
@sprouts had a lot of my favorite snacks on sale this week and wanted to share them with you . These are macro friendly that will fit perfect into your macros .
@chefscutjerky steak jerky
@eatenlightened broad beans
Power Crunch bars
Artic Zero Brownie Blast
Sprouts Brown Rice Cake
Mini Bunnies (you can only find these at Halloween so stick up! Target has them too and my kids love them as well)
I also like this salsa and I have not made them yet but trying the edamame pasta because everyone's says it's great and is super macro friendly. I'll keep you posted . *Remember not to fill your day with lots of snacks. Make sure to at least have 1-2 veggies at two of your meals. I also try to have one of my snacks with a veggie or fruit as well. Eat clean 80% and the other 20% can be for snacks. The cleaner the you eat the leaner you'll feel and be 😉.

The girls were super pumped about having these Homemade Granola Bars with Chocolate drizzle in their #lunchbox today. They are raw so require no baking and can be made in about 30 minutes. This recipe is a spin off from @ohsheglows mama glow bar, just substituted with ingredients that my kids will eat…here’s my version…
For the dry ingredients:
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup puffed millet
1/4 cup white sesame seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup hemp hearts
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
2 tablespoons unsweetened dried shredded coconut
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Himalayan sea salt
For the wet ingredients:
1/2 cup brown rice syrup
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/4 cup sunflower seed butter
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Line a 9-inch square pan with a piece of parchment paper.
In a large bowl, stir together the dry ingredients.
Add the brown rice syrup into a small pot over low heat. Stir in the maple syrup, sunflower seed butter, and coconut oil until combined. When the mixture is warm and runny remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla.
Immediately pour the brown rice syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and, stir until the oats are fully coated in the syrup mixture.
Scoop the mixture into the prepared pan and spread out evenly. Simply press down firmly with your hands (I leave extra parchment paper so I can press down with parchment covered hands).
Place the pan in the fridge and melt some chocolate. Drizzle with melted chocolate and put back in the fridge.
Chop them up when firm and violà you have homemade granola bars! ✨
Good morning, spider. 🕷
This humdinger has its web right outside our bedroom.
Not a coincidence.
Spider is my totem animal - a symbol of creative, feminine power. But guess what? Spiders scare the living hell out of me. They visit me in my lucid dreams and my body fills with adrenaline and I panic. Thing is, they won't go away, persistently healing me...asking me to face the fear of myself.
So what do YOU say? Is this a new concept to you...or do you have a totem animal, too? 🤔
