Today is the first of TEN days off from the salon 👏🏽💃🏼✨
Ever since we moved, I haven't REALLY gotten back into normalcy 🙄😐 the place is still a mess, we're figuring out how our finances are now going to work, we have new commutes... it takes me a MINUTE to adjust to something new and it's even ROUGHER when I feel like I can't catch my breath! 😅👎🏼 -
My old friend 👾ANXIETY 👾 kicks in and shuts me DOWN. So not only do I not get the extra stuff done... I get NOTHING done. I sleep in late, go to work, come home and sit on the couch, and HOPE that wishful thinking will make it all fix itself. 😓

I originally took this week off to make a trip back to MI for my birthday (June 30! 💕) and the 4th... but way-inflated flight prices made that a no-go. 😭
The next week will be spent being PRODUCTIVE. 👊🏼 Sure, I'll still relax and get some pool time in 😎 BUT for my sanity's sake (and for the sake of my marriage 😂) it is time to get this house 🏡 AND MY LIFE back in order 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Whipped up some wholemeal cheese crackers for the long weekend. When we are out and about all day, I like to be fully prepared with some Mimi snacks in my mummy bag. Recipe: 1 cup of wholemeal flour, 2 big punches of sugar, 1 cup of cheese (I went with 1/2 parmasan and 1/2 cheddar), 2 tbsp water. Chuck everything into the food processor together, roll out between two pieces of parchment paper so that dough is 1/2cm thick. Stick it in the fridge for twenty mins and then use a cookie cutter or stencil to make bite size crackers. Food on the go! Traveling can be tough on the wallet even tougher on our nutrition, especially if they are long flights or long layovers in different airports. Throughout the years I've learned different ways to avoid buying airport food. One of my favorite snacks that I make to travel are these energy balls. They are delicious and very easy to make.
I made these last night with oats, cocoa powder, cinnamon, raisins, peanut butter and honey. Mix it all together, form then balls manually and then refrigerate for a couple of hours or freeze for 1 hour. You can leave them in the fridge until you are ready to travel or you can use this as a regular snack at home as well.
Went to the store yesterday and bought some new goodies to try! This week I'm focusing on adjusting my carb to protein balance ⚖️I picked this week to start that because it has been 4 days since my cardio kickboxing workout and I am STILL sore, I can barely walk 😳the hope is that the protein helps with muscle recovery and I can get back to being 100% Hopefully these bars are tasty and do their job so I didn't waste $15, haha! .
