Nourishing my body is important. Having a life partner who cooks for me while I’m taking a continuing Ed webinar on PTSD, is equally as significant. I had the pleasure of coming home to one of my favorite brain (healthy fats), gut (anti-inflammatory) and immune (beta-carotene rich) loving autumn dinners. Grilled salmon and roasted butternut squash. On point. I’m grateful.
Happy birthday, sis! Homegrown beet, arugula & goat cheese salad with grilled chicken (& tri-tip for them). My home cooked meals aren't always picture perfect....such is life. Cheers to family cookouts and surrounding yourself with those you love!
I pesto so hard. 🌱🌱🌱 If you don't hear from me for 18 hours, it's because I'll be busy turning two giant baskets of basil into pesto to freeze for winter.
I'm feeling pretty productive today and it feels wonderful...thank you B-12 shot! I went to @sonomaroots for 6 hours to host a shot clinic, vacuum and mop, redecorate, put away orders, prep for the week and then it was straight to the garden to mow the lawn, harvest our veggies and fill an entire giant yard waste bin of clippings, weeds and dead flowers. Now I need to wash the dirt and bugs off of me then get to washing and de-stemming the basil. Happy Saturday from Sonoma!
Rootie Bitters Blend to the digestive rescue! If you are like many others and want to optimize digestion through the holiday season, then our Rootie Bitters may become your best friend! The health benefits of bitters extend beyond improving digestive disturbances (gas & bloating). Other noted benefits may include curbing sugar cravings, enhancing pancreatic enzyme output, optimizing absorption of vitamins and minerals obtained from food and promoting clear skin. Simply take a dose in a little water 15-20 minutes before meals for optimal digestion. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, an alternative bitters formula can be blended. Let’s stay healthy together, Sonoma!

Happy Saturday from our pumpkin patch! The entire family has been making fun of me all summer for accidentally growing too many pumpkin plants. I unknowingly planted too many pumpkin seedlings, mistaking them for zucchini/squash seedlings. Essentially, we've had almost no squash this summer and have a garden full of pumpkins. It's okay though, it gives us an opportunity to laugh together on a regular basis.
These are the first picked, and there will be plenty more to follow. I'm just stoked that we don't need to visit the pumpkin patch this year!
Good morning and happy Labor Day from Sonoma! If you haven't started your fire cider for cold & flu season, now is the time! Fire cider is a great daily immunity tonic and needs to start infusing now, as it needs to sit for a good 4-6 weeks prior to use. Read our recent blog post on sonomaroots.com/blog for all of the details. Cheers to health and vitality!
