"Cinnamon Roll Roll-Ups".... Throw 1 organic free range egg in blender along with 1/4 cup gluten free organic oatmeal, 1/4 cup organic cottage cheese, 1/8 tsp baking powder, 2 tsps chia seeds, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch of @sneakygreens salt and dash of stevia. Blend then let set for a few min. Add @califiafarms almond/coconut milk until batter will easily pour from blender spout. Cook batter in preheated nonstick pan with melted coconut oil. Pour batter out in a long wide stipe in pan smoothing out with spoon until you have a long flat rectangle. Brown on both sides. Transfer to plate and cover with a layer of : @siggisdairy plain yogurt mixed with cinnamon and raw honey. Roll up your rectangle and top with remaining yogurt mixture, cinnamon and a drizzle of raw honey. Here's the easy recipe:
1 cup Apple sauce 🍎
1/2 cup @allwhites_eggwhites
3 Tbsp Natural peanut butter, melted + more for drizzling
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 cup Quick oats
1/2 Cup Monkfruit sweetener
6 Tbsp Powdered peanut butter
2 Tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Dried apple, diced
Pinch of sea salt
1/3 Cup Roasted, salted peanuts, roughly chopped .
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350 and line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper
2️⃣ Whisk together the apple sauce, egg whites, peanut butter and vanilla in a large bowl.
3️⃣In a medium bowl, stir together all remaining ingredients.
4️⃣ Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and still until well mixed.
5️⃣ Pour into the prepared pan, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle with the peanuts.
6️⃣ Bake until golden brown, and the sides begin to pull away from the edges, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Let cool completely in the pan.
7️⃣ Slice into 12 bars, drizzle with peanut butter and DEVOUR! 😋

Ce matin j'ai craqué pour un jus d'oranges pressées produites localement, un bol de flocons d'avoine avec abricots secs, graines de tournesol, graines de lin, graines de sésame, nigelle, compote de figues (pour la petite touche sucrée), quelques raisins et quelques dattes produites localement et, pour le petit écart, un énorme morceau de brioche faite le matin même, avec une mie filante à souhait! WHY WE USE RAW HONEY//
We're often asked why we use raw honey in some of our treats. Honey is far more than just a natural sweetener - it has SO many health benefits. It's low GI and has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties, is energy dense and is great for supporting the immune system. It contains natural antioxidants, enzymes and minerals including iron, zinc, potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as vitamins including B6.
The majority of the commercial honey that you find at the supermarket is often heavily processed and may even have been chemically refined. Excessive heat destroys the natural enzymes, vitamins and minerals in honey. This is why we only use raw honey to sweeten our treats.
We source our honey from local beekeeper Drew from Lots-a-stings in Woodstock (only 42kms from the NB kitchen!). Drew does not heat his honey but instead uses a cold extraction process to preserve the quality and integrity of the product. Drew is also very careful to ensure his bees are not harmed in any way and he only ever extracts the excess honey (less than 50%). 🐝

Seriously needed something sweet after work tonight. I ignored the candy bars at CVS, you know the ones right there at you feet for easy pickings. Got home cut myself up and apple topped it with peanut butter, mini semi sweet chocolate chips, a few walnuts and unsweetened coconut flakes.
Crispy✅ sweet✅ salty✅ so satisfied✅
Things that are not always easy: working full time + parenting 2 young/tired kids (who have extra curricular activities + a social calendar + a talent for testing boundaries + an aversion to majority of veggies) + a traveling hubby + trying to exercise + eat/feed your family real food + keep everyone semi bathed in cleanish clothes with brushed teeth (last one is non-negotiable). #

I have seriously bought bananas 2x in the past 2 weeks with the specific intent of letting 2 over-ripen so I can make this thing. It's out of control. Sadly, I've also made the mistake of buying multiple types of chocolate at the same time. Might need to adjust my strategy there...
