🇳🇱 This is library #goals ! 📚 Check that spiral staircase! This is screaming out to every girl's inner Belle from Beauty and the Beast! 💛 If you could pick between having Belle's library or the ballroom in your house, which would you have?? 🤔
🇯🇴 After hiking through a slot canyon in the desert heat, we turned a corner to see this amazing piece of stonework peering out at us. 😮 It was easily one of those "wow" moments while traveling that I'll never forget. 💛 Also thank you camels for posing so scenically 🐪
Family Matters 9/9 Three generations all in one tiny room, this amazing mother has worked with her local community to educate malaria awareness to all in the Rakai district. With out this many people would have gone with out treatment. To all the unknown heros around the world thank you for making a small difference to big issues.
🇳🇱 Walking near Anne Frank's hiding place in Amsterdam, we saw this beautiful canal scene. It is surreal to think that she saw these same buildings and bridges, just as clearly as we do. 💙 Her life seems like another era, or dimension, yet there are people on this Earth living very similar ordeals today. 😔 Just another reminder to be so grateful for the freedom and happiness we have 💛
Family Matters 8/9 it's not unusual for families in Uganda to be large. Lots of families even tend to adopt younger children to take under their roof and give a second opportunity. The sense of community in these small towns is truely inspiring! Their smiles are infectious!
🇮🇹 The beauty of Tuscany in Italy makes me feel proud of my Italian heritage! 🌻 I'm really into ancestry and genealogy research, and anything I can learn about my elusive ancestors and where they lived fascinates me! 🌳 Fun fact: My great great grandparents were olive farmers in the #Basilicata region of Italy! 🇮🇹 Any other people out there with some Italian heritage?? 🙋 Represent! 🍝 | Photo Taken: July 2007 |
🇭🇺 Snapped this with my underwater camera, and surprisingly happy with how it turned out! 🏊💙 If you ever go to Budapest, you HAVE to spend a day at the thermal baths of Szechenyi. We had so much fun and it was a great refreshing way to escape the heat! 🏊
🇪🇬 "Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all" -Helen Keller- 💛 I love that quote so much, and I love this photo from my trip to Egypt! 💙
This was easily one of the most fascinating and impressive places I've ever visited. It makes me proud to have traveled there too- Taking a bumpy road with military escorts south across most of Egypt, and to be only thirty minutes from the Sudanese border, it felt pretty adventurous to me! 😀 And the end result was getting to see this fantastic piece of history!
🇪🇸 The fall weather is moving in here in Kentucky, and it's making me miss summer already (even tho it's technically still summer...)! 😭
This beach is easily in my top three favorite beaches ever. 💛 Clear, warm water with epic views of the Ifach de Peñón (the giant rock), calm waters and restaurants all along the oceanfront selling patatas bravas... 😍 Doesn't get much better than that! 💙
🇯🇴 Carved into stone in the 1st century BC, "The Monastery" at Petra is truly impressive. 💛 However, one of Petra's most awe-inspiring monuments is also one of the most taxing to reach. 🚶
Nearly an hour’s climb in the desert heat, it wasn't the most fun hike in July 😭! Daunting as this may seem, there’s an easily navigable path the whole way – involving 800 steps 😣 – as well as plenty of places to rest.
Even though I was hot, sweaty and miserable for most of the hike- it was worth it.😍 Was hiking it in a dress a good idea? Absolutely not. 😂
🇭🇺 Budapest is a city that really surprised me. I didn't know much about it, and had no idea what to expect. 😕 I'd heard mixed reviews from travelers saying it "wasn't that great" and "2 days is plenty", but it pleasantly surprised me! 😀 I loved the city so much, and definitely wish I'd spent more time there. The thermal baths alone are reason enough for me to go back! 💙
Have you ever heard that a place wasn't all that, only to go and find out everyone was wrong? 🤔
It's hump day y'all! 🐪🐫 This means I only have two more days to prepare my classroom and then... Teaching time! 💁
Where do you work or what industry are you in?? I'd love to hear from you guys and find out! 😀 I think most of you know, but I work full time as a high-school Spanish teacher ✏🍎 |Photo Taken: July 2017|
🇫🇷 I went to Paris and took this photo 9 years ago (omg wut), and I've decided I need to go back since I have a real camera now! Basically anywhere I traveled prior to 2014 and getting my DSLR needs to be revisited 😜. Anyone else know what I mean???
