Every day I wake up with a purpose and is that every opportunity that God put me on the path of helping others I will be there every time. I am super grateful and extremely blessed to share with this group of young kids, give them tips and have a time to talk about the sport that we are passionate about. #HeIsRisen
Garden Tomb of Jesus 🍃 “After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb. Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God’s angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it. Shafts of lightning blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white. The guards at the tomb were scared to death. They were so frightened, they couldn’t move.
The angel spoke to the women: “There is nothing to fear here. I know you’re looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed.”
Matthew 28:1-6 MSG .
From Dreaming to Doing”
Growing up, I heard today’s verse interpreted in negative terms. Take sinful thoughts captive and keep them out of your mind. And that is half the battle. But if we focus on the negative implications while ignoring the positive possibilities, it becomes a half-truth. It’s also about capturing creative thoughts and keeping them in our minds. Simply put, it’s about stewarding every idea inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Every dream is created twice. The first creation is mental. Every invention, every business, every building, every #painting is conceived in the right-brain imagination first. It’s nothing more than a single-cell idea at that point. The second creation is physical. You make it obedient to Christ via blood, sweat, and tears.
If your dream is a book, you make it obedient with a keyboard.
If your dream is playing professional sport, you make it obedient at the gym.
If your dream is making #music , you make it obedient one note at a time.
Your dreams will never exceed your imagination. You can’t achieve what you don’t believe. So idea generation is important. But idea execution is where the rubber meets the road.
I like thinkers. They make me think. And I applaud their ability to plot. But I love doers even more. They inspire me to action. And it’s the plodders, not the plotters, who make things happen.
God isn’t going to say, “Well planned, good and faithful servant.” He won’t say well thought, well said, or well strategized either. There is one commendation: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Setting #goals is fun and games. Going after them is another matter. Without perspiration to match your inspiration, your dream imagined will turn into a dream deferred.
What do you need to start?
What are you waiting for?
Maybe it’s a diet. Maybe it’s a graduate program. Maybe it’s a church or a business. Whatever it is, the hardest part of finishing is starting. Going after a dream is like riding a bike—you’ve got to get a little momentum to really get going.
Consider this your push.
Where do you stand on the road to execution of your #God -given idea?
An Anglican Catechism,
Q64: What does the Creed mean when it affirms that Jesus rose again from the dead?
A: It means that Jesus was not simply resuscitated; God restored him physically from death to life in his perfected and glorious body, never to die again. His tomb was empty; Jesus has risen bodily from the dead. The risen Jesus was seen by his apostles and hundreds of other witnesses.
I could do all the right things. Sing the words till they bleed. But I know it’s just noise. If I don’t have love.
‘Cause there’s no fear in love.
But there is a cross.

Habakkuk 2:3 (LB)
"These things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!"
Your religion can't save you. Your church denomination nor attendance can save you. Your praying to a preacher can't save you. Your good works can't save you. Your grandparents or parents can't save you. YOU CAN'T SAVE YOU... ONLY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE YOU!
There is nothing in this world that can get us into heaven except for the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only one who was able to say, "I am the way, the truth, the life (light) and no man comes to the Father except through me." Have you come to the end of yourself, repented and turned away from your sin and the love of the world, and decided to follow Jesus with your whole heart, mind, and soul?
Don't wait any longer for TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!
We’ve all thought it. And some of us, who have tasted life’s heartache, are at times plagued by it. “If God is good, then why does he allow bad things to happen?” In essence, we’ve become more comfortable sacrificing God’s goodness than altering his power. That is, we would rather believe in a God who is all-powerful than a God who is all-good, (“God is able stop the pain, but he chooses not to.”) Hence, “His ways are higher than our ways!” has become the mantra of anyone who clings to this message of divine sovereignty.
Although for many, this perspective has become a normal way of viewing God, it sadly leaves people to assume that everything that happens in their world was either approved by or caused by the Father; including car accidents, cancer, and natural disasters, etc. But for those going through such experiences, and facing untold heartache, this is not only a tough message to swallow, but sends a mixed message about God’s love and grace. Thankfully, the scriptures hold the truth about God, which sacrifices neither his goodness nor his power.
Rather, God’s mysterious “ways” are represented by the greatness of his love, which is higher than our love; and his mercy, which is higher than our form of mercy. Our love is limited, but God’s love has no bounds and his goodness fills the heavens. In all these aspects, God’s ways are higher than our ways.
When facing the pain of this world, it’s important to discern that God is not the cause of our turmoil. He certainly has allowed life and a world with infinite choices and possibilities – choices which are capable of producing both pleasure and pain, but it’s crucial we free God from any accusation regarding the individual problems we face.

“May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.” - Psalm 119:76
“My great grandmother, my best friend, passed away in August of 2015. To put it simply, this is my little miracle cat. There were kittens that lived on her porch. She hated them, but she knew I had always loved them. After her passing, my granddad took a very long trip to bring my family what she had left for us. When he pulled in the driveway, a kitten climbed out onto the top of the tire. I’ve always felt that this was a way that God chose to keep me connected to her. So whenever I see my cat, I think of her and God’s way of making something beautiful out of heartbreak.” - Breanna Bain

Really a special moment visiting the believed sight of the tomb. A lot of archeological reasons why it is believed to be here. Look at the track where they would have rolled a large stone. This was not on our scheduled tour today but we only had five in our group and our guide agreed to take us. Afterwards he said he was so happy we asked to go because it’s his favorite spot and where he feels the closest to God. #heisrisen

Perhaps the transformation of the disciples of Jesus is the greatest evidence of all for the resurrection, because it is entirely uncontrived. They do not invite us to look at themselves, as they invite us to look at the empty tomb and the collapsed graveclothes and the Lord whom they had seen. We can see the change in them without being asked to look. The men who figure in the pages of the Gospels are new and different men in the Acts of the Apostles, the New Testament book that tells the story of the first Christians. The death of their Master left them despondent, disillusioned and near to despair. But in Acts they emerge as those who risk their lives for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and who turn the world upside down.” #missions#heisrisen#newtestament#bookofacts#bible#disciples#disciplesship#gospels

Who are you committed to?
If you’ve marked a birthday, studied for final exams, gotten married, had a baby, or celebrated Christmas, then you’ve “numbered your days.” You probably didn’t call it that, but you knew exactly how many shopping days, study days, or single days you had left until the big event.
Moses( In Proverbs) is asking God to help us live every day with the kind of clarity we get when we’re under a deadline—“teach us to number our days.” When Christmas is just three days away and you still have gifts to buy, you don’t lounge on the couch watching holiday movies. You have higher priority things to do. Knowing that your time is limited forces you to limit what you do with your time.
There will always be events to attend, projects to tackle, committees to join, trips to take, and errands to run. And fear will whisper that you better do it all or you’ll come up short. But numbering your days is like running all those demands for your time through a filter. It’s a way to prioritize the people and tasks that matter most.
The committee you were guilt-tripped into joining? Doesn’t make the cut. The work trip that will keep you away from your kids all week? No for now.
When we begin to see our time as limited, we can wisely decide what, or more importantly who is worth our limited time. Moses says that we will “gain a heart of wisdom.” If you’re overscheduled, overcommitted, or overwhelmed, try numbering your days. Acknowledge that (even though you hope to live for decades more) your time is limited, so you must limit what you do with your time. I promise, applying that filter will give you the breathing room you’ve been craving on your calendar.
