Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy that aides a wide variety of ailments. Basically, you hold some oil in your mouth for 20 minutes, swishing it all around and between your teeth.
Oil pulling sucks out the fat-soluble toxins out of your mouth and creates a clean, antiseptic oral environment that contributes to the proper flow of dental liquid that is needed to prevent cavities and disease.
Oil pulling is very gentle, and done with oils like sesame, sunflower and coconut. If you need to increase its antibiotic potency for a short period, add essential oils like peppermint, tea tree or oregano. Oregano oil is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
Plus, as the essential oils get absorbed by the oral mucosa, the body will enjoy their antioxidant and medicinal properties.
I’ve made up a pot of essential oil laden coconut oil for pulling using oregano and tea tree.
I gently melted 125ml of coconut oil and added 4 drops of each essential oil after I’d turned off the stove. Pour into a jar and keep in the bathroom.
Take 1-2 teaspoons of the coconut oil mixture in the mouth and swish around for 20 minutes. Discard into the bin and rinse mouth with warm water. Do this first thing in the morning before any food or drink then brush teeth as normal.
Both Oregano and Tea Tree are part of our Home Essentials Kit and #30dayHEK challenge.
The Home Essentials Kit is made up of the top 10 oils we think no home should be without.

It's officially autumn. The temperatures have dropped to the chilly low 70's in The Valley. Halloween decor is about to go up. And I made some buttery bourbon salted caramel to celebrate. Now all we need is someone to light the black flame candle and we are good to go! 👻
Este entrenamiento es súper enfocado en quema de grasa. Si no tienes banda lo puedes hacer en una bicicleta estática o saltando lazo, lo que tengas en la casa. Lo importante es generar cambios en las pulsaciones.
Are you making salad anyone? You can't do it without those marinated red onions☝️😅...They are delicious addition to anything you make, especially salads. I nearly finished the jar. 😋 I added to lots of different things. It tastes great in Thai curry 😍...OMG... It was delicious! It is simple to make it, only few ingredients: red onions (of course 😀), water, cider vinegar, honey or maple syrup and spices. Recipe soon on my blog. 👍...Inspiration came from 'Sezonowe Warzywo' Dominika's @kulinarnebezdroza book. I changed few ingredients. It tastes Amazing! 😙 #salads#joannafoodphotography#ahealthynut#foodpicture#foodstyling#foodblogfeed#thefeedfeed
