So excited for the next generation of Bhav to embark on their teacher training journey next weekend!! ‘I dream of making a difference’ ✨
The 'Wall of Dreams' - shining the dreams of refugee communities from London, Greece and Italy. This is the beautiful and thought provoking collaboration between artist and poet @morten_sondergaard and UK poets Kayo Chingonyi and Jasmine Cooray lit up all along the walls of the Royal Festival Hall until the 1st November. 🙌🏼
We believe community can start anywhere— a classroom included. @YogaFoster empowers school teachers with yoga and mindfulness for the classroom. How can you help? Tomorrow at 7pm, @vancevlasek will be leading our community through a 90-minute flow on the lawn of @thegroveLA. Class is donation based— a $20 donation brings yoga to one student for the whole school year. If you have a gently used mat you'd like to donate, bring it along and we'll send it to a student. Sweat for good. RSVP through the link in our bio. #thesweatlifeLA#heretobe
is yoga. —
Those of us who show up in the studio, or on our mats at home. Those of us who sit in meditation or stand or walk or bow. We know what a gift “yoga” can be. We gift it to ourselves. Our families. Our husband and wives. Our mothers and fathers.
But what about those of us who don’t know. Because it isn’t a place we find easily, through choice or social positioning. —
This past weekend at our United We Om Here To Be event I was reminded again what this “PRACTICE” does. How it helps. What that looks like. How it’s felt — FELT — in the hearts of all who participate. —
This engine keeps running because of the community that supports us. A community so rich and nutritive, so giving and loving and humble. A community that when I stop to think about the commitment they have to our mission I want to break down and cry. This community is growing because our friends and families, our loved ones, are feeling the impact a shared practice can have. Our wish is to grow this so far and wide that there are no more barriers or boundaries and every time we’re asked “can we have more yoga?” our answer is YES! —
it’s happening... we are answering yes left and right.

If it's not fun, I'm not doing it 😉// Editing a recent super fun photoshoot I had with @sassyyogi, @biancaperechemd, @thuri.yoga and gang for @heyyogaplus 2.0 excited to show everyone the final set of photos!
Me, too. All the shame, anger and regret of not reporting. Learning to not let it consume me. Giving dirty looks to all the cat-callers and unwanted grabs because there's no time to do anything else. Me, too. So proud of everyone coming forward with this. Social media definitely has its pros and cons, but by talking about this, it brings us into the light. Whether you share with one person or the world, thank you. #metoo#domesticviolenceawareness#nomore
We spent the wee hours of Sunday morning at a community yoga class together with @heyyogaplus, @lululemonsg and @gorillapressco!
With @thuri.yoga's melodic voice leading us through a vinyasa flow class, we were incredibly humbled by organizers and participants' show of support to our cause. Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought that we'd be able to have an event at the Bay, let alone being supported by a big name like @lululemonsg 💗💗
Special shoutout to @tafshiwo for getting us started on this 2-year journey of including yoga as part of Project X's centre, thereby creating access to the healing benefits of yoga to cisgender and transgender sex workers in Singapore. And also to all the teachers who have been volunteering with us! That's Cheryl, Mirna, Pansy, Lina, and the @heyyogaplus team!
We're #heretobe active, vocal, and committed to positive social change for everyone regardless of who they are. We hope you will continue this journey with us. 🌈🌈
"Did you fall from a shooting star? And are you lonely looking for yourself out there?" Hi! My wish for all of you this morning and everyday is that you keep looking within, everything we need, we already have. It's so easy to fall into judging others but what I've learned is that what I see in other people is a direct reflection of a part of me that I either love or that I'm still discovering. Our perceptions are our realities. We get to choose how to see things, how to navigate and respond to change, to play victim or be solutions oriented, we even get to hang on to resentment carrying our reasons to hate others around for righteousness OR we can choose to accept that each of us is on our own journey of learning and healing. We can give the same grace to ourselves that we can choose to give others. All of the things we keep looking for outside of ourselves is free and we were born with: the ability to forgive, to love, to see/hear/feel and to recreate our experience over and over and over again. YOU are creating your life, no one else is. Maybe you can't help what circumstances you or the world are in BUT you do get to create what means for you, how YOU can think, talk and act about it. Go on now, you are a powerful vessel who is so ready to do what you were put here for. You've been training all your life for these times, are you going to rise up? Who are you here to be?

Here to be.
Here to be with friends and the yoga community.
Here to be with people who share the same intention and the same cause.
Here to be aware and raise awareness.
Here to be able to support people of different walks of life.
Here to be able to to uplift each other.
Here to be inspired and be and inspiration.
I am here to be.
I Woke up late today and was rushing to get to the location for todays community class. I Took the wrong exit and turned the wrong way. I reached the place and i was already sweating. The class started and i listened intently, trying to move with mindfulness. But with the blistering heat, my body needed to rest. I had to stop, i am so sorry to the instructor, i didn’t want to fait infront of him. I guess i was still being mindful of my own strength. I sat where the shade was, and i was just in awe of my fellow yogis. They were doing handstands and chaturangas gracefully. That is the spirit we all need. Perseverance and commitment! I went back to my mat, back to the heat, and now my warm mat. Ironically, It was cool down time. Once again, focus, mind over matter. Inhale and exhale. Pose after pose. And then savasana, and then magic! I didnt feel the painful heat, it was hugging me in a consoling manner. I am being one with the sun. (I will get even darker after but i am good with that!hahah)
The community class was devoted to @projectx.sg in support of sex workers to heal mentally and physically. I forgot her name, but a lady talked in fromt of us, and she was inspiring, described heself as a transgender muslim. I got goosebumps, what a journey she must have been, With the society still having doubts with this issue. Lets support each other. Inspiration comes in different walks of life. And i am glad to be a part of this event.

Our programs at @cityofrefugeatl + @trinityhouseatlanta received yoga mat donations from @lululemon + @gaiam! We're loaded up, y'all. These will be used for weekly classes and for yoga packages that participants can take with them as they graduate from the programs our partners offer.
We are SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEK!!! Last night we got to receive an incredible grant from @lululemon on behalf of @thenest_lexington. All of this money will go to the ongoing efforts to bring mindfulness, yoga, and self-care to women coming out of domestic violence and family crisis. On top of this, we will also be receiving the proceeds of the *surprise* silent auction from the benefit last night! What?!?!? 😭😭😭 thank you @jpflorence for believing in us and seeing the heart behind The Nest's vision to bring alternative healing to women who need it most. And thank you @brookemartinez223 & @yogacatchill & Katie Mooney for being the voice of love, gentleness, and family to our clients - nothing would be this fun without you!!! ALSO... these butterflies behind us are art projects done by domestic violence survivors. Because of everyone's generosity, this and so much more will be unleashed from the hearts of these heroines. #heretobe#lululemon#thenestlexington#YES#areyoureadyforit
We love our partners in peace. This year @spikeball helped us bring in a part-time social worker to support our children with trauma and grief counseling. Spikeball has also employed our community members and always shows out for our annual holiday gift drive. Spikeball is walking the walk towards wellness, justice, and dignity for all. This weekend they are hosting their national tournament, and we can't wait to join to cheer all the teams on. On Saturday, join us to watch and celebrate the tournament at Cricket Hill (near Montrose Beach) on the soccer fields. There will be food trucks and more than 500 players from all over the country. Let's support those who are supporting peace and joy. #healingthehood#spikeball

Today I’m here with the York Region Centre for Community Safety starting a “Here To Be” wellness program working with individuals impacted by domestic violence.
This social impact project is in collaboration with Lululemon with efforts to bring happiness and meditation to everyday lives.
Vulnerability. One of the most beautiful/terrifying things out there. Tonight, I was invited to be a guest speaker at @metrohealthcle trauma survivors support group and share the story of Tough as Milk. I usually get so anxious talking about my past. After years of being told to hide it or people acting like I didn't want to talk about it, I start to feel bad for making others uncomfortable. But, I power through because by talking about the hard times, others can see that they're not alone. Tonight, I was met with the same level of vulnerability I shared and the results were magical. Whether it was someone sharing their own traumatic experience or simply a knowing nod, we all felt at home. We discussed how much we appreciated having support and people to ask us about our ups and downs. If you haven't reached out to a trusted loved one, support group or therapist, I encourage you to do so. We all have a story and you don't have to do this alone. (📷: @lululemon )
Continuing on with @lululemon ambassador shoots this week (6 in one week!) and I am seriously valuing my time spent with these incredible folks. Leaders, influencers, movers, shakers - the whole lot of them. What a absolute privilege this experience has been.
