I'm of Nigerian descent, from the Yoruba Tribe.
The Yoruba lineage are very crafty people and understands the essence of art and it's scope.
Aso Oke is one that very beautiful piece of art by the Yorubas
Aso oke is a hand loomed cloth woven in different patterns to suit different occasions.
The special hand crafted fabric are worn mostly during special occasions like weddings, birthdays, chieftaincy coronation, burial ceremony.
For the sake of our culture and to revive the dying Yoruba tradition, we will be blending our culture into urban fashion to suit the recent styles. Join us in the journey.
Here is JM Aso Oke Naija Half shoe for a client to be tested in a burial ceremony in Ile Ife. Well we made 5pairs of different sizes for the 5 brothers. Well we will keep our finger crossed to see how this lovely piece will look, cope and beautify our client.
We will share pics of them on it later this coming week.

Bill Richmond aka "The Black Terror" (1763-1829)
Born into slavery in Staten Island, New York, Richmond found fame as one of the most skilled boxers of his time. Richmond was brought over to England as a teenager by Lord Percy, a member of the military. It was here that he was received an education, became a cabinetmaker and much later in his life, made the decision to enter the world of bare-knuckle boxing in response to the profound racial abuse he suffered. Richmond became a prominent figure within the boxing world in the late 18th and early 19th century, winning 17 of his 19 professional fights. #blackhistory#culture#uk#billrichmond#heritage
