COFFEE- I dig it! I started drinking it at the age of 3.... Well sort of! My grandpa shared his first sip with me at that age..and then if I remember correctly I knocked it out of his hand trying to get into his lap and spilled the scalding magical liquid all over me. What a tragedy; for more than one reason! I always remember liking those (cough cough) Starbucks, fancy, rich, really bad for you drinks. Then in 2010 I discovered the “Americano” and OH. MY. WORD. Since then I’ve grown to love many other types of coffee. I even tried roasting my own beans for awhile and maybe will try getting back into that again soon. ********************************************** I wanted to own and run my own coffee shop a few years back.. I’m pretty sure a friend and I had it all figured out and named it and everything.. clearly that never happened! 😭 ********************************************* Currently I have 3 French press pots, 1 Italian percolator pot, 2 pourover methods for camping, and also an espresso machine. I just recently tossed my drip maker! Drip drip drip driiipppp.
********************************************* And just so you know.. my current absolute favorite coffee right now is brewed from the Nespresso machine. A little bit of vanilla and a whole lotta milk! 😋 Speaking of that, I hear my roommates making some soooo gotta jet!
Zooming into 24 today 😎🚗💨 but seriously. I haven’t been feeling this whole “turning another year older” thing this year. I’m feeling stuck in my own personal development. I’m trying to figure out what to do with my life, trying to become a real adult and find my own place - and none of it seems to be coming together all that well. It doesn’t help that 2018 started off a bit rough (darn viruses!) 24 doesn’t seem all that exciting while I’m stuck in a rut. So, I’ve decided that this year is a year of “outside of the box”. I’m not going to try and tick off everything off of my numerous lists (I’m a list maker for sure). I’m going to try new things and food and talk to new people. Go places I hadn’t really thought of going before and just enjoy the journey. Honour the process, and know that I’ll reach my goals eventually, even if it isn’t right away. And that’s cool. I may have zoomed into 24, but I’m going to cruise my way through this year and enjoy it for what it is ✌🏼
Whatever happens around you don’t take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves.

I’m definitely a Florida girl who loves the sunshine and that made winter in the PNW a little difficult to adjust to. But I wasn’t even mad when the sun didn’t show up on this hike in the Gorge! Does this mean I’m starting to like moody fog and muddy trails?! 😂 I still can’t wait for summer eighteen, but PNW winters are definitely growing on me! 🌲
THE DREAM OF ALL MY DREAMS
One day I will be an old woman wtith long silver hair, magical tattoos, eyes full of light and life, and lots of laugh wrinkles.
My children’s children will lay out with me under the stars by a campfire on a seashore.
We will listen to the waves make music as I tell them stories of wild adventures, of lived dreams, conquered fears, and a full life lived.
And I will inspire journeys of their own.
This is the dream of all my dreams.

Throwback to our Crater Lake adventure 💚Tyler and I stopped here as part of our honeymoon last summer after getting back from Alaska and before heading down to California.🌲While we loved the overwhelming beauty of #craterlakenationalpark we decided against hiking here mainly because the trails that were open were extremely crowded and the boat that takes you to Wizard Island was not operational yet☹️ Luckily this lake is only a few hours drive from Portland so I’m confident we’ll get to hike Wizard Island in the near future. 😉🏔#throwbackthursday
Life is a very complex thing. We know that. To simplify it you can see it as an arbitrary amount of changes. At some point in life we think 'we're there' and 'that's it' we formed our character. Thoughts opinions and principals are fix. And in a blink of an eye everything can be completely different again. When we dedicate our strength and ambition to our passions we will find more good changes and growth we can look forward to. Almost a whole year ago I started with instagram and I'm so surprised what this year brought to me. All of you're guys support pushed me so much further to my dream and I'm am more than grateful for that!!! You all give me the power to keep improving myself more and more and I can say for sure that this is just the start! 2017 was greater than words alone can describe so I'll leave you with a spark in the sky and in my heart! Have the most amazing night and make yourself the best new year with all the great things you already have and will find.🎆🌞. w/ @marvin_walter.
We have a no blends policy when it comes to our headwear. We don't ride off the back off wool by only using it in part. We go all the way and are proud to say we make our headwear using bonafide 100% wool fibre! We think that's how nature would want it to be and if you are going places like @laura.outdoors then you are gonna need it 🏔
We walked about 4 miles of this path. Reading reviews, it sounded like some people didn’t like that it was adjacent to a semi-busy road, but I didn’t find it that distracting. I enjoyed the farmland scenery on the other side of the path and thought it was peaceful, but I also went on a day when it wasn’t crowded.

Call me crazy, but the projected thunderstorms for tomorrow got me smiling like 👆. I've really missed thunderstorms, and I grew up watching them cross the plains, sometimes even chased storm cells for hours in order to watch the lightning 🙈 But most often I was watching them from the comfort of my living room, curled up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book (which, coincidently, is what I think I will do during these storms ☕️). What about you? Do any of you find certain types of bad weather strangely cozy? 🤔 let me know in the comments! 📝
Today at yoga as I was trying to flow from one seemingly impossible twist into another balancing challenge with some faint resemblance of grace & strength, it dawned on me, that on the mat just like in life, we are continuosly making choices. I could huff and puff myself into a shaky warrior 3 and quickly nosedive towards the strong limbs of the yogi in front. Or I could dig deep and fly like a fierce warrior with a thousand heads, a thousand eyes, and a thousand feet; unstoppable and, perhaps, a bit fearsome. I went for fierce and fearsome, of course, but came across more like a flying squirrel than legendary Shiva. I am fine with squirrels though - they are able to steer and exert control over their glide path. Good skill to have in life 🐾
⚠️attention⚠️ I GOT A JOB!!! i know i’ve talked about it a little on my story but wanted to make an official announcement because i’m so happy and blessed with this job. i’m a rack runner at the south tacoma goodwill off hosmer, near bass pro shop; come visit me!
The clouds opened up and I had a nice walk alone around Westminster. Sometimes I can see the future, but I can’t change it. Better just to enjoy the present. Blue skies in London seem rare in January. 🌞 🇬🇧
