“The women’s clothing is inspired by the vibrant colours and textures of African textiles. I find the textiles simply fascinating, with bold uses of patterns and hues that feel so alive. I really played with the contrast of their clothes to make each woman stand out yet blend in all together. The piece exemplifies my feminist ethos: It’s important to find your own individual voice, but we must come together to collaborate as a collective force"
