I used to be so obsessed with being positive and ‘strong’ that I never allowed myself to grieve or feel sadness. I would try so hard to replace every negative thought with a positive one to the point that I was storing the energy inside. I now give myself permission to feel pain, for as long as I need to. Then when I’m ready I return back to my happy self, and try to make the most of everyday. You can let yourself heal properly while still being a positive person. #learning
I remember when I was SO conditioned to people please... breaking this pattern has been an absolute conscious effort.... the first thing I did to break this was go straight through the fear.... I went to Starbucks at rush hour in the morning. I waited in line and when I got to the front I THEN looked at the menu.
Those couple of seconds I FELT such a huge pressure to hurry the EFF up! I knew the people behind me were rushing to work and probably were thinking “omg how dumb is this chick”.... it was SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Just even that tiny experiment showed me just HOW often I lived my life to make others comfortable, to make them think I was a good person..... Now I can comfortably allow and teach my child small things because I am no longer worried about the people behind me in line thinking “Omg hurry it up”...... nah, I’m gonna teach my child and allow him the space and time to LEARN.....These are just two tiny tiny examples of how we might be changing who we REALLY are or what we REALLY want to do based on someone else’s thoughts.
A thought is simply a fragment of someone’s mind.

This picture was taken 3 years ago and I would never of dreamt about posting it. I remember looking at it in disgust and instead posted one where you could barely see my body. I used to hate my body. I made the choice to keep hating my body for years because it kept me disciplined. Kept me eating healthy and kept me training hard. It came from a place of fear and not love. It didn’t work. I now eat and train out of love for my body. I’m letting go of control because I am passionate- and that’s what keeps me motivated! Love your body the way it is, but keep your standards high in the way you want to look and feel. But ALWAYS do it from a place of love and not fear #loveoverfear#bodypositive
