Fun times, awesome bikes and some great racing this weekend at the 27th Annual DC Vet Homecoming! #HighPointMX#DCVetHomecoming#ThisIsMoto @lojakscyclesales @chucksun63 (Photos - @ontheroadphotographymx)
20 weeks ago, I started my training on the YZ125 with a HUGE goal in mind. Through all the hours of track time, weight lifting, advice... Moments of "YES I DID IT" to "Why do I even bother." Coming from the comfort of a tiny TTR to a YZ is a totally different monster.
TODAY I accomplished that goal... my first ever race at the legendary High Point Raceway for the Vet Nationals. I walked away with a 3rd place and met some of the most bad-to-the-bone women riders ever, some who are over 40! That is AMAZING.
This sport is grueling and not everyone can do it, but whether you swing your leg over a bike or not, it brings the best people together. I love it. More pictures and videos to come! !!GOALS people. GOALS. Make one. And keep it!! Thanks to my dad, husband and everyone who never stopped pushing me. 💙

After getting to watch @joshmosiman in person at #highpointmx I have to say, I was very impressed. I know that bike is made to get off the line, but just because you have the bike, won't make you an Alessi. Yes he is a great starter but I was impressed by his line choices, ability to read the track and adjust accordingly. That's a skill that takes years to develop, and I think he has the eye to utilize the changing conditions of the track and put himself exactly where he needs to be, to maintain the positions gained off the start. Keep an eye on this kid and put him on your fantasy team. #motocrossphotography#motocross#photography#evomximages#promotocross#fox#motolife#thoughtsfromthefenceline
