"What I like about photographs: They're proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect." Most people won't go hiking on a "crappy" day. Including me. At one point, after moving out here, if there was snow, rain, cloudiness, or cold, I wouldn't leave the condo. I would stay inside, wrapped in a blanket and watch countless movies or binge watch episodes of a show.
I promised @christianmang_ we would go on an awesome hike. Thinking it is cooler to see the Rockies when it's sunny with very little clouds, we pushed it off a couple days and did something else. However, it was the last day before my father-in-law came into town and we would be limited a bit so we sucked it up and went.
Although, it was a bit tough at times, It was the most relaxing hike I have been on. It was the first time I felt extremely comfortable and happy. It made me realize certain things about myself and my photography. I've always loved rain and "crappy" weather. To me this is the most beautiful weather the photograph. The dramatic fog brought out colors, I never thought I'd see.
I learned another major lesson that day. Never let the weather be the deciding factor. Never let it stop you from what you want to do. You never know what you'll get. The worse thing that can happen is the pictures turn out better than expected.
This was a surreal experience and I got some epic shots of my brother-in-law. >

(That’s not me in the hat lol) So I went on the hike a few months ago and it was so much fun. I was thinking about how good I felt that day. I had been cooking all my meals at home, totally keto. No dairy, no nuts, all organic, and no caffeine. My sleep was great, my workouts were amazing, my social life rocked, and my GPA was the best it had ever been. I want to go back to that place, where I was in every way. Today I will start again. I'm going to put all of my effort into my well being for the next 30 days and I'm so excited to see how I will improve. I'm not just talking about the improvements i see when the 30 days are up but in 60 days and even 90 days. Things like this have fueled my long term habits that I still keep today, or at least try to keep! I will be documenting my days on the page so this is my start: right now I am 5'7 142 pounds let's see how much I can lose before Halloween 👻
