So today I decided to give exercise a go for the first time in along whilst without my hiking boots, heavy hiking pack and selfie pole... I'll be completely honest, I'm very unfit when it comes to go running I can't go very far but when I have my hiking gear on I can go forever... #runningwithlachie lol jks #hikingwithlachie

📌Location: Wilsons Promontory National Park 🏞Trail: Eastern Circuit (Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, Little Waterloo Bay & Telegraph Junction)
🔢Distance: 37km approx.
⏱Time: 10-12hrs (Big day hike)
📈Elevation: A lot of up and down
🚶🏼Difficulty: Hard to Very Hard
🔂One-way/Return: One-Way Loop
✅Start: Telegraph Saddle Carpark 🚫Finish: Same as above
💡Other Info: Take appropriate clothing for any kind of weather. 4lts of water minimum and plenty of snacks and lunch. Some water may be available at some of the campsites but don’t rely on it especially during the warmer months. ⚠️Important Info: This hike is usually done over the course of 2 or 3 days so by doing this as a one day hike is very tough. Only recommend the very fit hikers (or crazy) to attempt it. River crossing at Sealers Cove (check tide times to avoid crossing at high tide)

💡Other Info: Start at Cooks Mill, walk along Little River Track to Ned’s Gully then up to the Cathedral summit then along Farmyard Track to Farmyard camping area then down Jawbone Creek Track to Jawbone Carpark then St. Bernard’s Track down to Cooks Mill. ⚠️Important Info: Some rock scrambling experience essential before attempting this walk. Take plenty of water (4litres), snacks and some lunch. Pack clothes for all kinds of weather at the top. Don’t attempt this walk in extreme heat, heavy rain or in the middle of winter. The ‘Farmyard Track’ along the ridge line is very exposed and provides little protection from the various elements.

⚠️Important Info: Most people do this walk as an overnight hike. Free campsites are available in the surrounding area of Federation Hut. (No sleeping in the hut). DO NOT attempt this hike in the winter months. Pack for every possible weather conditions as the summit is very exposed and offers zero protection from bad weather. Take minimum 3litres of water and plenty of snacks. This can be done as a day hike but a very hard and long day of walking so only recommended for the very fit hikers.

#thursdaythrowback to April 2014 when my old man @cktrafford and myself walked up the Bungalow Spur Track to summit of the 2nd highest peak in Victoria, Mount Feathertop (1922m above sea level). This is one of the tougher day trips in Victoria with over 22km’s of either up or down hill. Looking forward to getting back up there this weekend, camping Saturday night up near the top with @owen_chpmn, @o_mikeodd and @helen
