In the morning, after I wake up and brush my teeth, I peek out through the window, and I see green leaves dancing along with the songs of the birds and the seas, people with their happy and peaceful smiles with the acceptance of every living being in their eyes, with the warmth of the sun and the chilled sense of wind gently pressing through my skin as it passes me.
This is what I want to wake up everyday to,
This is what I will wake up everyday to.
There are such people in this world who don't hate people but sometimes they don't want to be a part of any group. They love their own company and don't look for any companion when they want to travel. They trust their own vibes and nature, they prefer to laugh with people but yes they don't miss a chance to sit somewhere alone in the middle of nowhere. They love to talk to people but yes, they mostly grab an opportunity to just being silent. I am glad, I have met such kind of people in my life. -
"Truth that has been merely learned is like an artificial limb, a false tooth, a waxen nose; at best, like a nose made out of another's flesh; it adheres to us only because it is put on. But truth acquired by thinking of our own is like a natural limb; it alone really belongs to us. This is the fundamental difference between the thinker and the mere man of learning. The intellectual attainments of a man who thinks for himself resemble a fine painting, where the light and shade are correct, the tone sustained, the colour perfectly harmonised; it is true to life. On the other hand, the intellectual attainments of the mere man of learning are like a large palette, full of all sorts of colours, which at most are systematically arranged, but devoid of harmony, connection and meaning." -
Day 4 : Mount Chaimadole, Darchula

Kashmir : Srinagar // I walked along the streets of Srinagar right across the dal lake // I could see the stress on the streets of this city. With every second person smoking a cigarette, it showed how much these people must be thinking about during their daily lives // I spoke to a bunch of locals in Srinagar just to take an idea about their thoughts towards how things are in their city and state // A common thing I found that they were frustrated about was the fact that due to our political system, tourists have been diverted from Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh and other parts of the Himalayas // With Jammu & Kashmir being a very tourist oriented economy its hard for the people their to earn their living // With deep lines across their foreheads and faces, they still fight to earn their living in this magnificent state // Its sad that they have to bear all the stress because of our political parties and their issues // Nazir Ji ( our house boat owner ) told me that the people who come to Kashmir for the Yatra are not allowed to enter srinagar, they have to by pass srinagar and go straight to their base camp. This too hinders the business and the lives of people in srinagar. He added that you can not cross sonmarg after 1 o clock in the afternoon, you'd have to stay in Sonmarg for the night. This too is a political game // I wish for the state of affairs to get better in the coming years, for these people have gone through enough already.
