They said that the things that we feel resistance to do is the one that we actually needed the most.
Ayurvedic example: Vata dominant people who loves to be mobile and on the go, often feel resistant with a routine. Even though it's really good for them as it balances the excess airy element, but since routine is a polar opposite of their dominant elements, it's something that Vata difficult to bond with.
Which is why, as curious I was with trying various healing modalities, to be in this #FloatingTank has been something that I was hesitant to try for years.
Yet few days a go, with the amount of excess Vata that I've been experiencing for the last month (in a form of interrupted night sleep than then affected my energy level during the day), I knew that I had to do extra work to balance my Vata. I need to do smething that I've never tried before.
One day, I saw a post by @owen_acupuncture of his #FloatingPod experience at @freedom_float . At that moment, I knew that I gotta try it. This time, as I'm more aware with my Vata tendency and fear of closed dark environment, I decided to booked an hour session.
As soon as the pod is closed, I started to cry... for 10 minutes. I felt very safe inside the pod that all of the stress and emotional baggage that I've been holding on to, just burst out. Plus on the way to the session, we had a near-death experience as we almost had a car accident... More on that later 😫. So the floating pod was a great timing to release the adrenaline from that.
Long story short, besides having a very relaxed body and had a non interrupted sleep last night, right after the session I also had the clarity to express my stored thought and emotion out without the usual Vata agitation, as my nervous system was sooo soothed out.
Looking forward to my next session in the next few days 😍.

Sunday funday spent with the family! My eldest son is always keeping me mentally stimulated he's intelligent mind never stops... I feel extremely lucky I can spend days like this with my family. Being able to choose my own working hours, have the freedom to live my life the way that I choose and to be there for my boys!

Everything happens for a reason and there are certainly no coincidences in life. This is often a saying that I've heard from my father but never really believed it until now. And it's funny because after hanging out with my parents today, I was reminded again of this particular saying because I was trying to control a situation. And then I stopped. I let whatever happened happened. This saying helps me put my life into perspective and allows me to move from a victim place to the victor in every situation. Even if you do not believe in fate, it can still be very empowering to consider that everything can have some type of useful meaning.

I’ve been straddling the line between the wellness world and my corporate job for over a year. This week I did something I had been simultaneously agonizing over and looking forward to: I left my corporate job. There was nothing glamorous about the decision-making process here. 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup chopped walnuts or almonds, 1/2 cup flax seeds, 1 cup pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sesame seeds, 2 large egg whites, 1/4 tsp pink salt, 1/4 cup extra-virgin oil, 2 tsp cinnamon optional if want for blood sugar. -
Mix all together and put in baking tray in oven at 180 degrees for 35 minutes then take out cool and break into clusters
Meal prep for the win. Made soup on Monday still eating it for lunch on Saturday means I can keep the weekend fun going!! This not super pretty soup was DELICIOUS!! And it’s from the @elevatetheglobe Rise Up meal plan! Lentil + Chickpea Soup I love you!!! If you think soup can’t be a full meal you’ve never had lentil soup! So filling and packed with protein!! Rainy season has officially started here in Portland, meaning it's time to readjust my self-care routines. .

An all natural way to clean my berries!!! 🍓😍
Place berries in water and add 2-3 drops of lemon essential oil. Sometimes I will also add onguard for an added immunity boost. I have found this keeps the berries fresh and stay for longer in the fridge 😊
It is important to make sure our produce is clean, especially since there are so many pesticides used that are harmful to our bodies
So many people are counting calories but they are still putting harmful toxins in their body. I rarely pay attention to calories, unless I think too little is being consumed. Too little can cause issues with our glucose. I instead like to pay attention on what foods I am consuming.
I hit the ground running as soon as we landed in Firenze. I’ve been averaging 20,000 + steps a day (in heels...because, you know, I’m in Italy), late and long dinners with lots of great conversations followed by midnight strolls around the city. Keeping this raw train going @sweetgreen 🌱 I've felt amazing since giving up coffee completely and eating an almost completely raw food diet the past 5 days! Despite a serious craving for donuts the first day haha. Everyone knows that coffee is my biggest vice, but I'm finally ready to let go for two reasons. 1. Mike Adams talk during the Truth About Cancer event was about heavy metals. He said that coffee contains the heavy metal Cadmium. I couldn't find information on whether or not it's found in organic coffee. I did however find this.
"Cadmium is among the most toxic of the heavy metals. It is a common metal found in cigarette smoke, tap water, coffee, some processed and refined foods such as hydrogenated oils, and in foods from the sea, especially shellfish of all kinds. It is found in marijuana, and cigarette papers." 2. The massive headache I had while stopping was pretty frightening. I don't want anything in my body that's going to cause that type of withdrawal reaction. I really enjoyed my morning cup of coffee, but I'm finally ready to let you go☕️

It’s so easy going green, and you’ll enjoy this delicious, nutrient dense breakfast.
My cleaning supplies include Thieves products, oils, baking soda, epsom salt, and water. Home is a very important thing to me. For one, I’m a total homebody so it’s where I love to rest + recharge. It’s also the place I invite my girls into every week. It’s where meals are shared and life changing conversations happen. So what people are breathing in and being exposed to while they’re in my home is of upmost importance to me. I don’t use candles and I ditched all mainstream cleaners including laundry detergent... why? Because studies have found that indoor pollution is worse than outdoor. That burning a candle for an hour is equivalent to smoking a cigarette. That all kinds of damage to organs are directly related to the chemicals in some of these products. No thanks! My greatest desire for my home is for it to be a safe space and I want that to be all encompassing - body, soul, and spirit.
What's really funny is that I didn't even purchase this polish, my mom did & I was like.. 😍Anyway, spent last night doing self care by giving myself a mani, 💅🏼 a face sheet mask sesh 🎭 & a whole lotta stretching. 🤸🏻♀️ SELF CARE IS SO IMPORTANT! ⚠️
