Continuing with shaking up some classic cocktails I made a Brandy Crusta from Dale DeGroff’s master cocktail book, “The Craft of the Cocktail”. This book has literally 500 recipes 😳...infinite drink ammo here.
Also, would appreciate a Brandy Recommendation? What’s yo favs?
Anyway, here’s a sugar rimmed drink that’s garnished with a whole lemon peel.🍋
.25oz Maraschino Liqueur(@luxardoofficial)
.25oz Orange Liqueur
.25oz Lemon Juice

The server is constructed of walnut veneers with a wire brushed surface and antique charcoal finish.
I've been obsessed with pears heading into the cooler seasons and this "Golden Night" Cocktail is one definitely worth trying!! 🍐
This recipe makes 6 cocktails!
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup unrefined granulated sugar
20 whole crushed cardamom pods
1/4 cup pear brandy
1 bottle chilled brut Champagne
2 small ripe pears for garnish
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan, stir to dissolve the sugar and add the crushed cardamom pods. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool for 20 minutes. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the simple syrup and discard the seeds and pods. Add the pear brandy and stir to combine. Add 1/2 ounce of the pear brandy-cardamom simple syrup mixture to 6 glasses. Add 4 ounces of chilled Champagne to each glass, filling each glass about halfway. Garnish each glass with pieces of fanned pear slices and serve!!

In Utrecht you drink beer. It's a small city, that boasts only one cocktail bar as far as anyone has been able to tell me. Even an Old Fashioned order here gets a blank stare from the barkeeper. It would have been a problem, but the beer is good.

Chai Town Sour
• 1.5 oz. Bourbon
• .25 oz. Applejack
• .25 oz. Simple Syrup
• .75 oz. @elementshrub Chai Pear Shrub
• 2 Dash Angostura Bitters
Shake with ice then double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
