Finally decorated our tree tonight! I mainly sat and passed my husband ornaments (my back is still so bad and I can’t stand for any real length of time 👎🏼), but it was enjoyable none the less! A lesson I’m really trying to take away from all this is “let go.” That is a realllllyyy hard thing for me to do. I like things done a certain way, I like my house in a certain order. I like A to be done before I do B and C. This week that’s all out the window. I’m trying to see this time as much needed rest not only my back but my whole body needed and a gift of time to do other things I’ve been putting off. I’m really praying I’ll be back on my feet by the weekend guys 🙏🏼😩 But until then, you’ll find me “letting go” of the small stuff or at least trying to 🙈😉
If you need us we’ll be here ☃️// 📷: @gro.osterhus //browsing the savings sleigh ride deals just posted on the site ❄️ link in bio
Mixing styles is one of my very favorite parts of interior design. In my house currently I'm trying to blend three or four different styles which creates a really unique interesting arrangement, and if it's done well can be so gorgeous. I also love to use Moroccan rugs (obviously), but sometimes their unique sizes can be more difficult to incorporate. The other thing I see is that people limit Moroccan rugs other pieces of decor to a single style like bohemian, but sometimes don't see all the potential how using them in a different setting can yield a wonderful result.
I love how this image handles both of the above things I mentioned. The difficult size of the rug is handled by layering it with a neutral large rug to frame the room (which I love). The other thing I see is the style of the room is more traditional than many I see with Moroccan rugs, which creates a great combined style! 📸 via @juliaryancreates
