Did you know that most stuffed banana peppers ordered as an app in a restaurant are cooked, frozen, and microwaved when you order them? They charge upwards of $10 for that.
Tomorrow, I'll teach you how to tell a fresh from frozen banana pepper appetizer on The Quiet Life.

Diwali is almost over and we are getting ready to face the Monday blues tomorrow. But just to let the Diwali feel linger a bit more, let's take a look at how #coppre was an integral part of the festivities...
Thank you @anushruti for this post--the halwa looks sumptuous. The #copprepatrons will love the recipe!
A Happy Sunday to all! RepostSave with @repostsaveapp
It was Hari’s Diwali party in school today and I was up before the sun was out to make a large batch of sheera or halva for his entire class. Since nuts are not allowed in his school, I kept the batch nut free.
In Indian culture, halva is one of the most commonly made sweet treats that is a part of most festive occasions. This traditional halva is heavenly in taste and is so soothing to the soul. There are so many inspiring women in my family who have their own versions of this halva. I myself make about 5 to 6 variations and can think of many more varieties. It is one of my most favourite sweets to cook and to eat. It is also one of those recipes, that you don’t have to slave in the kitchen for hours together (particularly if you are making a small or regular batch) or prepare days in advance, making it perfect for one of those quick Diwali treats. Do you make sheera or halva regularly? What’s your favourite way of making this treat? Find this version of my halva on my site, link in profile (look for semolina halva or sheera).
