Had a great time making signs last week, especially this family Est sign because it's marked just one week before my wedding! To be honest I haven't totally started freaking out yet, but I do feel a little nerves creeping up. Last month our Pastor told us that something WILL go wrong the day of the wedding, whether it's rain, someone is late, something doesn't match, make up doesn't turn out right, who knows?! & I do kinda agree with him, not everything will go accordingly but I'm hoping we can make those imperfect situations perfect in our own way. Anyone care to share their wedding story and when or where something went wrong and how you got through it?
I visited our new build job site this afternoon and noticed an old slab shop door on our front entrance with a nice shade of purple around the door frame acting as a makeshift door 😱. Our crew is resourceful I will give them that 🙂. It's safe to say I'm on the hunt for some front entrance inspiration. This works! 💕 📸:Highgate House.
It's always special to come back to where it all began for me. And tonight was extra special as I watched these four teach. My parents and the Carrs helped to build the foundation for my faith and molded me into the man I am today. It was so cool to watch them lead the next generation too! I love this place and these people. #homesweethome
Right now, this is one of my least favorite spots around our home. The old owners didn't do much with the yard & left it with really tall weeds, rocks all over, etc. The pool (behind the grey fence/deck) & jacuzzi (out of sight just passed the grill/smoker) are disgusting. Part of the picket fence isn't painted white nor installed. And out where the playground is needs a lot of cleaning up. That is our camper parked out there. Along that side of the fence behind the house, we want to do a big garden next year. We plan on cleaning up the pool at least before graduation. I'd rather sell the jacuzzi as I really don't think we'll use it. And then we can use that area for a nice patio set since it is already covered with some sort of netting stuff. Our teenagers will never use the playground or trampoline but those will get used at the graduation party by our nieces & nephew coming. I do love just how large the yard is! It's the largest we've ever had. It goes further to the right out of sight, all the way back to the brown fence & to left to the chain length fence. I also love the trees & the boulders & how the the original owners built the patio & walkway around the boulders. I cannot wait until we can whip this sucker into shape! We gotta start soon because graduation is 6 weeks away!!
