Hey when you get free tickets to an event you don't say no even though your kinda on a meal plan lol 
But hey it's all about having fun in your life and enjoying yourself. I'm not gonna restrict myself of not having fun and actually going out at night. I still live my life even tho I have a stricter meal plan and workout program going on. It's all about that 80/20 baby 😂 and tonight might be a bit of that 20 happening 🤣🙈 I still stick to my food groups that I'm supposed to have for dinner, but won't beat myself up for maybe having one little dessert tonight or one extra protein, or veggie. Really trying to stick with not having carbs at night anymore, cuz that's been helping me already this week to feel a lot better. My mind is in the right place and I'm not about to mess up my progress. I will enjoy the night and have fun with my girl and see what the night brings! (Food wise of course) 🤣🤦💃 Enjoy your night Girl! And always here to chat k! 📲💌🤘

Lifting the booty takes more then just doing 🍑 work. You must all work the legs, including hamstrings. Sadly this includes lunges one of my least favorite exercises. You know what though, I do them anyways because I got goals and I’m determined.

What are they?

Your hip adductors are one of the largest muscle groups in your legs and are located deep in your inner groin and inner thigh. The adductor muscles are often hard to find because they are buried under other muscles, such as your quadriceps.

What are they used for?
.
Adductors are responsible for hip adduction. Adduction occurs at the hip when you pull the legs toward the center of the body. An example of adduction is when you’re sitting in a chair with your legs crossed. You also use your adductors anytime you climb stairs, walk up a hill or stand up, or a more obvious case… when you are doing the splits!

Why do you want to make them stronger?
.
Adductors are a major player in core strength and injury prevention and are particularly beneficial for preventing knee injuries, explains exercise physiologist Michelle Lovitt, M.A.

The muscle groups in your legs work together to provide balance and stability for your body. The inner thigh muscles provide internal rotation, which counterbalances the external rotation from your outer thighs and glutes, explains Lovitt. “All five adductor muscles attach to the pelvis, so weak inner thighs [can often lead to] poor core balance,”
.
“When the inner thighs work with the outer thighs, they provide side-to-side stabilization of the pelvis,” explains Lovitt. “If you have abductors (outer thighs) that are strong and inner thighs that are weak, then you won't have good side-to-side stabilization of the pelvis, and that leads to injuries to other areas of the body, especially the low back.”

Walk into the gym and not sure what you’re doing?

I’ve helped many people get comfortable in gyms in the past few years. I get it, you don’t know what you’re doing and everyone else seems to.
-
Which exercises do you choose? How many reps. How many sets. And how do you adjust these machines — while everyone else handles them with their eyes closed.
-
Just remember, everyone’s been there before they looked natural. And no one knows what they’re doing as much as you think. Trust me on that one.
-
The people I’ve helped get into the gym all wished they had done it sooner within months after they realized how simple it can be.

Focus on these things:

Strength Over Sweat
-
Hey if you want to sweat and like the activity that promotes it, go for it. But you can make as much progress losing fat and adding muscle without it. It’ll happen but it doesn’t have to.
-
Your focus should be on getting stronger in compound lifts. That’s it.

Focus On The Most Basic Movements
-
There are more, but these are the 4 main ones. Push, pull, squat and hip hinge (like deadlifts for example).

There’s plenty of variety and you should have a few variations throughout the week and you should switch them up every month or two. But focus on those.

Add Weight To Them After Form Is Great
-
Start light, and add a little weight each week for a while. You won’t be able to do it forever, but you can for a while. Take advantage of it.

Be Patient
-
If you agree you’re after a lifestyle change, remember you’re aiming to change it for life. That’s tons of time to make progress — and wayyyyy more than enough to make serious changes.

Nothing like some early morning kickboxing to start my weekend. I started practicing kickboxing as a child and somewhere towards my college I stopped practicing but,  it will always be the foundation that pushed me towards fitness and health. .

Another thing that I want to resume this year is my kickboxing practice.Ankle weights are great help when trying to increase your kicking speed and power and they also help in developing your leg muscles.I am wearing 1.5kg ankle weights on each leg.

I think that leg day has to be my favorite... only because I hate it so much🤚😝!!! My legs are one of the biggest things that I'm so self conscious about 🚫 I hate wearing shorts because of my stretch marks and how big my thighs are🙅‍♀️ I hate leg day so much because of how much it hurts and how sore I get ☠ But thats the best thing about it🙌 that means that it's working! Now I have the tools to work towards NOT hating my legs someday!! #12dayspostpartum and feel like I might be turning a corner with Caroline adjusting to being more awake in the day and being asleep in the night - she did a 5 hour stretch last night! It’s hard because she is so small (6lbs 9oz at birth) I want to make sure she’s eating enough. She is having plenty of dirty diapers and seems to be getting a little fuller so I have started letting her wake me instead of getting her up every 3 hours. Did yoga today with Mike and some light strength exercises (squats, bridges, single leg deadlifts, scissor kicks etc). Some days definitely feel like ground hog day with a newborn - you do the same thing every day and you don’t really go anywhere (especially right now with the cold and flu season) and it’s been hard to keep our 2-year old busy. What are some good indoor activities for a 2-year old?

In a perfect world we would all be eating all natural, free range, organic, chemical free meat and vegetables but this world is far from perfect, right?  The reality is the more you make, the better you can eat.  I mean it makes sense, right?? Those meats and vegetables are a great option, but how many average families can actually afford to eat like this?  I’ve been in a spot where $5 needed to feed me for 2-3 Days.  That situation didn’t give me the freedom to choose organic options.  I had to get as much food as I could for that amount.  Everything I was eating was scattered through I isles packaged up with no or very long expiration dates.  That brings me to the whole point of this post.  When you go to the grocery store, work with your budget to get everything you need but stick to the outside of the store as much as possible.  If it doesn’t go bad, don’t eat it.  This goes way past loosing a couple pounds and gaining some muscles for me guys.  It’s about overall health.  It may not seem like it matters now, but trust me it’s all going to catch up down the line.  Remember, ONE healthy choice a day add up!! Now have yourself a wonderful weekend!  Happy Friday😁✌🏾

Another weekend away, means ....../not much changes🤣 Except I get to have more fun and change my workout space 🛏 
Pressed play in my bedroom and if you can’t tell by the photo, I’m ridiculously sweaty 💦 SUCCESS! 
Now I have more patience to take care of 4 toddlers today with mama bear 🐻 today was easy to press play once I quickly checked in with my challengers and saw that they have too! 💪💪💪 It’s possible to do this journey on your own, but it’s way more fun with others doing it with you and pushing you along!

Finding balance in life means that sometimes you have to work really hard on a Friday afternoon in order to rest really well on Saturday. 
So while today is my off day for my workouts I’m using that time to work hard at getting some extra school work in so I can sleep in and rest my busy mind tomorrow.

An squats because well I just love squats 😍 #sweatyselfie just about sums up the exhaustion on leg day. Pushed on all the way through with my 10kgs! Definetly couldn't have give anymore so that workout was a 10/10.

I fear painful legs tommorrow. 😂 There is nothing standing in the way of my goals but what I allow to get into my head an it's simple...theres no room for negativity up there! That about sums up how I felt through my workout today

The ability to earn vacations is one of my favorite things about running my own home business!👍🏻These trips provide me great incentive to work hard toward my goals and provide amazing vacations for my family! —
Hadi girl is a bit stunned by this news, but she can’t wait for this vacation either😂

Day 5/80 • Mindset, y’all! In my prenatal yoga class last night the instructor had us hold poses for the length of a contraction to work on breathing, leaning into pain/discomfort that is ultimately serving us, and just to prepare (at least a tiny bit) for labor

In those moments, when I knew with absolute certainty that I wasn’t going to give up and come out of the pose (because, hello, that’s not an option during my little ones birth!) it was weirdly relaxing. Freeing. Why think about the “pain” or consider quitting? It only makes things harder
.
So next time you’re in the middle of something CHALLENGING — remove the idea of giving up, focus on your breathe or the benefits you’re giving to yourself, and just be there until you’re done
.
Our minds are POWERFUL if we can find ways to use them for good 👏🏼
