Tips for Thanksgiving Table: Don't be afraid to mix metallics. Everything don't have to be all gold or all silver. Mixed metallics always creates an interesting look! #Thanksgiving#Tablescape

Tips for Thanksgiving Table: add flowers, create height variations, and add color.
I know thanksgiving is all about oranges, but say you don't like orange (like me) feel free to add any color you want, go untraditional.
Add height by using varying sizes of glasses and flower vases. Use cake stands to elevator your table items
Flowers or greenery is always a great addition. If you didn't have time to grab some from the store, clip some branches from outside and throw it in a vase 💁🏽 #Thanksgiving#Tablescape
Tips for setting the table: add candles to the table, I like to stay away from heavily scented candles for dinner tables, something about strong scents messes with the taste of food for me. So opt for a lightly scented or unscented candle to set the mood. Add layers by stacking the candles on plates #Thanksgiving#Tablescape

When I was 6 years old I was admitted to the hospital for emergency brain surgery. It was an experience that I will never forget. While the surgery was a success, the experience of living in a hospital made a lasting impression on me. It was then that I became aware of how much we are all affected by our environment. Regardless of the love that I felt from my family and friends who visited, I felt alone and scared. The sterile materials used in the room, the harsh lighting and the lack of texture made everything feel cold and ominous. I couldn’t wait to get back to the comforts of my own home. When I returned home from the hospital, one of the few things that I was allowed to do was draw. One day my dad came home with a roll of butcher block paper for me to draw on. I drew a brick house on a hill, on a street in Westwood, CA. I know it was in Westwood because I drew a street sign in the corner. At the time it all seemed insignificant. It all seemed like just another space for me to dream about. Throughout my life I would drive through that neighborhood and would often think about that brick house on a hill. Little did I know that 30 years later I would be called upon to design that very same house on that very same street, from the ground up.
On Thanksgiving I am reminded of all the things that I have to be thankful for. I am thankful for my family and friends who have helped through the worst of times. I am thankful for my health because I know what it’s like to lose it. I am thankful for my design business that allows me to create happy and peaceful spaces for my clients and their families. I am thankful to @kevinlaxer and @katlaxer for hiring me to design that brick house on a hill and for making this little girl’s dreams come true. And I am so thankful for this life that I get to live today and every day!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 The morning started with a tradition I've carried on from my parents, warm freshly baked cinnamon rolls while watching the Thanksgiving Day parade. It's my absolute fave and probably the only time the entire year I'll eat something sweet for breakfast. What are your holiday traditions that you love?
Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with my dad in his pajamas, my boys playing Chess. Pies ate made and stuffing is in the making. Texts are being sent and received with wishes of blessings and thanks.
I'm so thankful for so many things in my life but I am most thankful for my Heavenly Father! Without His unfailing love, my life would lack so much purpose and meaning.
I always use Thanksgiving as a time to prepare my heart and mind for the upcoming Advent season.
Heading to friends in a bit to celebrate but wondering what your Thanksgiving traditions are? I think we are going end out night with a Christmas movie. What is your vote, Christmas Vacation, The Family Stone, White Christmas, The Nativity or the Elf?
Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🍂🍾
Happy Thanksgiving friends! I hope you all get to spend some wonderful time with the family. We're experimenting with smoking a turkey this year so wish us luck! Remember tomorrow 8am our big sale starts, mark your calendars! Xoxo 😚❤
