You can help families, like Patrick’s, by making your #heartofahero gift today by texting “HeartofTexas” to 41444 or using the link in the bio.
Patrick grew up in Florida until age seven when his family moved to New Mexico. Patrick loves music, film and acting, and hanging out with his friends. On his 16th birthday, Patrick was diagnosed with a bone cancer, Osteosarcoma. The tumor formed in his femur near his knee. After Patrick’s diagnosis, his parent’s transferred to a children’s hospital in Texas to provide the best possible care for him. His treatment program includes 32 weeks of chemotherapy and a surgery to remove the compromised portion of his femur. Today Patrick has completed 1/3 of his treatment and has been extremely courageous throughout his ordeal. His kindness and empathy for others continues to shine in spite of cancer. Thank you for having the #heartofahero ! ❤️🇨🇱💛
Tomorrow's the day for the big turkey give away! Help a family enjoy this holiday buy purchasing an exra turkey or ham when you purchase your own.
C.H.A.N.G.E Houston (@change_htx) is partnering with local Black business owner @23mj13 with the “GIVE B.A.C” initiative. The goal is to procure and distribute (at least) 50 turkeys and 50 hams, along with non-perishable items and can goods. We have confirmed that this goal will be demolished, but we need your help!
Donations can be dropped off to the location on the flyer between Monday November 13th and 12:00am Today.
Oh my stars! Italian wine night. Fontodi Faccionello Della Pieve 2006. A tasting dream (somebody pinch me). Gorgeous fruit, herb, with good structure. Corto Pavone Brunello di Montalcino 2006. These Sangiovese clones must be paired perfectly with their vineyard aspect and climate. Fragrant red fruit, anise, fresh herbs. All yum from start to finish. Both lovely now with no plans to age out anytime soon. These wines were rescued from the Hurricane Harvey flood (above water!). He now says, “Drink up!” Because tomorrow is uncertain. #italianwine#brunello#sangiovese#cortepavone#redwine#houstonstrong#fontodiwinery#everydaycabrene
Did you know Buffalo Bayou Park was named a top 10 trail in the country? It’s gone through a lot of transformations but it was majorly hit during Hurricane Harvey. We spent our Saturday morning helping remove some of the sand deposit in efforts to rebuild.
