This is a riff on @whatsgabycookin's meatballs I watched in Instagram stories. I used dark meat ground turkey with fresh parsley, panko , egg, garlic powder and oregano. And it's over brown rice w pomegranate, berbere, black sesame seeds, parsley, a few more baby mozzarella balls, roasted chickpeas. I can see these being delicious w lamb as well w a tiny bit of feta inside. #whatsgabycooking
The bent over row is an incredibly effective exercise for working your upper back & lower back, and to a smaller degree your hips and arms.
Unfortunately, it is a movement that I see butchered almost daily due to a combination of the following;
❌ using too heavy (inappropriate) weight
❌ poor upper torso position (rounded back)
❌ excessive use hips to generate momentum
❌ upright torso (hitting more traps, less lats)
If you’re ticking any of the above boxes, maybe it’s time to check your ego at the door, lighten the load, focus on your set-up, learn how to engage and contract your lats and rhomboids, or if all else fails - hire a PT!
