Hey everyone! Thank you, thank you, thank you to every person who has reached out, shared love and support, and contributed to this relief effort for Adjuntas,PR. Unfortunately I got some bad news from JetBlue — all flights to Ponce have been suspended and the soonest they could rebook me was December 1st. While I’m personally devastated, this is not about me — it’s about the people of Puerto Rico, and all of the people who have contributed and supported. The good news is you have all contributed $4,537 in donations, as well as supplies. I used $1,673.26 to purchase supplies to be sure I was taking the maximum I could carry with me. These supplies will be shipped down to Adjuntas and distributed by volunteers on the ground to families in remote areas of Adjuntas through a local non-profit, Casa Pueblo, as well as local churches. I need your vote now — we have $2,863.74 in donations remaining. Should I hold on to this and distribute food when I’m able to travel on December 1st (fingers crossed), or should I invest in more supplies to ship right away? #PuertoRico#Adjuntas#relief#hurricanemaria #🇵🇷 #PuertoRicoSeLevanta#supplies#batteries#solar#help#donate

Margarita, 92 and Chia, 89, have been friends for 70 years.
Chia happened to be in Miami when #HurricaneMaria hit, but her best friend was at home in San Juan. Two weeks ago she called Margarita and said, “I found a seat for you on a plane. Be ready in 30 minutes.” Now, they’re living in Miami together. They don’t know when they’ll return to Puerto Rico. But at least they’re together, they tell me.
When disaster strikes, #USARMY is there to provide humanitarian relief. Humanitarian missions are among the missions carried out by the U.S. Army Active duty and Army Reserve. 1 of the 150 careers the #USARMY offers is an equipment operator. U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers provide many engineer assets that support the ongoing #HurricaneMaria relief efforts. #ArmyTeam#whynotyou#harlan#kingsport
We realized we never shared where our hurricane giveback funds were directed! We are so proud to have donated to this wonderful organization that provides local food banks with resources. Additionally, we know that they are working directly with the Puerto Rico Food Bank and the Houston Food Bank and we send our thoughts and prayers to all those still fighting to recover from these devastating storms. Check out their work: feedingamerica.org. #poppyandpinefloral#hurricaneharvey#hurricanemaria#houstonstrong#puertoricostrong#givingback

My NYC Peeps, please come out on Friday to @lifestylestatement & recycle a New or Gently Worn bra which will be donated to women in Houston impacted by Hurricane Harvey. I would love your support and to see your beautiful faces. Tell your friends too and feel free to share this message!#Repost @rdstyle_tv (@get_repost)
Join us in Brooklyn for a Bra Recycling Happy Hour at Lifestyle Statement. Donate your New and Gently Worn bras to support the women and girls in Houston impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Through our efforts with @thebrarecyclers we will send all donations to the Star of Hope in Houston. All sizes are welcome. Why? Because people in Houston still need help. Women tend to take care of others first and put their needs last. Bras are expensive and it takes a lot of $$ to build a bra wardrobe from scratch. #womensupportwomen#brooklyn#crownheights#nyc#brarecyclers#hurricaneharvey#hurricanemaria#hurricanemaria#prayforpuertorico#prayforusvirginislands
My birthday is at the end of the month and in honor of it, I would like to ask you all to join me in donating to one or both of these orgs in Puerto Rico and the USVI that are working to help their peoples and their islands in the aftermath of Irma and Maria. (Links to donate below and in profile.)
This is a concrete way to support BOTH the hurricane relief efforts AND work to end domestic violence and sexual assault, in the wake of the devastation after the hurricanes. Help me support the communities that raised me and shaped so much of who i am and the work i do.
SO MUCH GRATITUDE to everyone who has already donated and shared. It means more to me than you will ever know. 💕💕💕

October is domestic violence awareness month. Puerto Rico and the USVI are some of the islands in the Caribbean that were hit hardest by hurricanes Irma and Maria and they are still struggling to recover. We are disheartened at the tragedy Puerto Rico has faced this past year. One of our chapter sister’s family has been left without electricity, gas and has no money for food or water. We are starting this GoFundMe page in an effort to gather enough money to purchase solar lanterns to send out to her family. Click the link in our bio to make a donation. Anything helps! We appreciate the support ❤️ #HurricaneMaria#PrayForPuertoRico#SJU#SJU20#SJU21

Hi guys! This is the last weekend to donate to our Rally for Puerto Rico fund. I know it's a tough time and lots of donations already made, but our goal is to raise enough money for Operation Blessing to put water filtration systems in communities in Puerto Rico who need them desperately. They have a long way to go. Please help bring clean water to those who need it. Love you all and so many thanks and much appreciation to those who have donated already. It means a lot.

Drinking water is truly a dire need for families still without access to power or city water after #HurricaneMaria . Thank you for making projects like this possible!
Our team in Miami is putting together care packages for people who have been devastated in Puerto Rico by Hurricane Maria . Volunteers pray over a container headed to Puerto Rico during Day 3 of the October Mission Packing Project, filled with water filters, generators, clothes, food, and more. These supplies will relieve the suffering of people affected by Hurricane Maria! 🇵🇷
These now familiar images were taken in Barranquitas and Ciales, #PuertoRico just yesterday. It is unbelievable that a month after #HurricaneMaria made landfall the need for fuel is still so urgent. Most of the island continues to be without electricity and relies on the power of generators to cool food and medicine, provide lights, to power equipment and TO BOIL WATER! The government of PR has provided our team with transportation to the island of #Vieques where we will give away #freefuel today!
Less than 20% of Puerto Rico's power grid has been restored and around 3 million people are still without power. Will you #TakeAction with @savethechildren at @refinery29 today? Link in bio. #ActionButton
