Catherine's Canning Diaries cont.... Had to call in some reinforcements since keeping the kids home from school to help today didn't seem realistic.
Pears are my nemesis. Of all the things I can, I dread them the most.
With the help of Dave, we got them ALL done this morning.
Then, like the complete mental case I've become, decided to can some more applesauce this afternoon with the kids.
The end is in sight, I can feel it.
It's like the 24th mile in a marathon.
So, close to the end, but still need to power through a little more.
And note to my soon-to-be baby girl, Ariona Slade. ❤️ Facing becoming a single mom soon, of course it's scary af.
But not scary enough to make me turn my back on my daughter.
She will be the first blood-related family I know, as I am adopted.
And "family" is more than just a word to me.
I'm not sure what the future exactly holds for us.
Because as much plans as I may make, stuff happens (both good and bad that I had not accounted for) and things rarely go exactly according to plan.
But everything always works out in the end somehow anyway.
However a few goals I have set for myself:
Continue the peer support specialist career path, go back to school for nursing, get back to being fit (since I was directed to stop working out due to complications earlier on with the pregnancy) and eat mostly "clean" so I can set a good example for my daughter about the importance of taking care of our bodies, continue learning to play guitar and write my own songs, and move somewhere (out of the area) where both Ari and I can have a fresh start.
Again, I'm not sure what the future will exactly look like for us... but I have goals that I'm chasing and a daughter whom is my main focus besides overall bettering myself.
It's been a rough year, but I'm going to make me and Ari proud.
Omgosh, I walked a mile!!!! Might not seem like much but this is the first time since surgery (3 weeks ago today) I walked a mile and in 20 mins!! I'm so freakin' happy right now, I can't stand it😄 Here's to my day 1 of 10 of working out with my @thebellyfitclub peeps 💪 Plus today was day 2 of being back at work half days. Almost did not workout because... Yep just because. No reason for it besides that I did not want too. Got changed anyway because I knew I would waste 30 minutes on some mind numbing thing when there was no reason to do a 30 minute sweaty workout. Glad I did! Have you made excuses time and time again? Have you ever thought, can diet really effect my goals that much? Can skipping a workout really effect my progress? 🙌 Me too!! Many times! Truth is, diet is a huge indicator in your success just as sticking to your workout regimen. It is easy to fall off the wagon. ✔Im taking the road less traveled this time! ⭕Im in control and have the power to say no to cravings and say no to being lazy! ➡️ Starting Tuesday (because mondays are never a good day to start😂) i will begin my 3 month journey; clean eating paired with my exercise regimen. Keep me accointable along the way! 🔶️🔶️ I truly believe this is the missing piece! Cookies no longer will control my results, or lack thereof! .
