Ok, a couple of LIGHTBULBS went off today, surrounding my early morning workout!
I woke at 5 and ate breakfast immediately. The meal plan I’m on calls for me to have a carb, a protein, a veggie and a tsp of a healthy fat, such as a nut butter or coconut oil. Ok SO- I wanted oatmeal but what veggie do you have with oatmeal? 🤨kind of a weird combo..... No, my friends! I’ve found the perfect veggies for this exact application!! Cucumbers or celery. Don’t laugh at me! You can literally dip them in your oats with Greek yogurt and almond butter. Oh em gee! So good!! .
Lightbulb #2 - I don’t track my weights in workouts the way I SHOULD! This past week, I’ve been tracking what I lift for each exercise and today I pushed myself harder that I would’ve otherwise. Point? TRACK YOUR WEIGHTS if you wanna improve and get stronger!
Lightbulb #3 - those little resistance loops that go around your thighs when you do glute work are NO JOKE!! #GoBlue !

Happy frickin Monday friends! I cannot believe that today is day 8 of eating super clean and healthy and doing this new workout program. That means 8 days without sugar, without junk, without processed food! I feel like a turning point is coming soon because my body was detoxing hard last week. Lots of terrible headaches, intestinal issues, and even skin issues which now I’m realizing it was my body detoxing all the crap. I think I’m on the edge of feeling ten times better, and to be honest I didn’t think it would take this long buuuut I have a serious sweet tooth so this is all new to my body. And the fact that I haven’t given in yet is like crazy to me! Its definitely the longest I’ve gone without caving into something sweet and I plan on sticking to it and keeping on track with my goals! Also, if you’ve never tried coconut on your oatmeal, do yourself a favour and get some unsweetened coconut and add it on top. It is sooo good and an great source of healthy fat! Challenge accepted. I’m starting a new program today. It will be for the 60 days and I am nervous about what I’m getting into. However, I’m excited for my results.
I already love what is happening to my body. But what has been transforming of my overall well-being is much more than I anticipated. .
