This picture is talking to me in many different ways. At first I'm in love with #colors that just make me happy and the fact that Cabo Verde is full of colors in general had me falling in love even more. Another thing is that the #flaws and #erosion and wear-and-tear showing do not at all little the #beauty but actually attract me even more - I like places and things with a #story , with #history , with #life and no experience comes without #traces , maybe #scars or #imprints . When I was teenager my mom was actually begging me to allow her to buy me new shoes but I said no because I liked my old ones better and everything I did with them, every scratch had its story, every spot I considered a #souvenir .
And last but in no way least there is the #dog . One #stray of so many not only in Ponta Do Sol but basically all over Cabo Verde - and I wanted to safe them all. Of course I couldn't but yet again I left a piece of my #heart with them. Good thing is that (with only one exception and I'll take that as the exception confirming the rule) the locals are pretty friendly with the #straydogs , feed them leftovers on occasion, give them fresh water and probably pet one from time to time. It's in many cases a kind of #peaceful#coexistence and there were only very few dogs looking really sick or obviously malnourished.
I admire people who choose to shine after all the storms they've weathered... and I don't believe there is greater beauty than the glow in someone's eyes and smile when caught in the midst of laughing. Happy birthday, my beautiful @fave_accessoriesfati! May you be blessed with many more reasons to continue laughing through the years. I love you! 💐 #icollectmoments
